Hi, I'm Liz,

I'm a girl mom, wife, baking enthusiast, full-time professional, and the heart behind Raising Her Strong.

Like many moms, I spend a lot of time wondering:

Am I teaching my girls what really matters?

Will they be confident enough to use their voice?
Strong enough to handle setbacks?
Kind without becoming people-pleasers?
Resilient in a world that regularly makes girls question their worth?

I started Raising Her Strong because I wanted a community where moms could find practical ways to build confidence, resilience, courage, and self-worth in their daughters—one conversation, one lesson, and one ordinary day at a time.

I'm not here because I have parenting perfectly figured out.

I'm here because I'm in it too.

I'm raising girls, learning as I go, and sharing the tools, research, scripts, and ideas that are helping in my own home.

If you're raising a daughter and want to help her become strong, capable, confident, and grounded in who she is, you're in the right place. Welcome to our community!

I'm so glad you're here. 🩷

Tell me below: What is one hope you have for your daugher(s) as she grows? by @raising.her.strong

Moms are carrying impossible expectations right now.

Let's put some of them down.

You do not have to be perfect to raise a strong daughter.

Your presence is 100% better than your perfection. She doesn't need a perfect lunch, a perfect day, or the perfect outfit. She does need your encouragement, your belief in her, and your consistency.

You don't have to be perfect to raise a strong, resilient, daughter. You are enough just as you are!

I'm building more than a following.

I'm building a community of moms who believe that confidence, resilience, courage, and self-worth can be taught and practiced at home.

Every post, conversation starter, parenting script, and tool shared here is rooted in one goal:

Helping raise a generation of girls who trust themselves, use their voices, and know their worth.

If this mission resonates with you:

🩷 Follow along.
🩷 Invite another mom raising a daughter.

The more moms we reach, the more girls we impact.

And that's a mission worth building together.

Check yourself. Notice this week what you are saying out loud about your own body.

Our daughters hear the way we talk about our own bodies, even when we think they aren’t listening. They see our facial expressions when we look at ourselves in the mirror.

We don’t have to pretend to feel confident every minute. But we can practice the art of grace and speaking with respect:

“My body deserves care"
"My body feels strong"
"My body is did an incredible job today"

Spend less time picking yourself apart and more time noticing the incredible things your body can do. She'll start to do the same.

1 in 4 women suffer the loss of a pregnancy or the loss of an infant.

They grieve.
They hope.
They cry.
They rage.
They get back up and carry on.

But they don't forget. That child is always remembered.
Always with them.
Always loved.

Today is the national day of remembrance of a child lost in pregnancy or infancy. And if, like, me you are 1 of the 4, 1 grieve with you. I remember with you. I love with you. And I hold you in my heart. like I do them.

Because you will ALWASY be their mother. by @raising.her.strong

Things I wish I'd known before puberty:

1. Puberty doesn’t begin when you get your first period. Your body starts to change well before and there are signs. Start talking about puberty early.

2. Body odor can come first. Often one of the first signs, it's not gross, she's not doing anything wrong. Her body is start to change.

3. Hair growth may happen gradually. Hair on her legs, arms, and under arms start to grow. It may be thin and blonde or thick and course. It's normal and another sign she is in puberty.

3. Mood changes can happen, new emotions are coming on board. Outbursts or surprising responses to things that've never bothered her before. Her body is changing her hormonal systems. She's not being dramatic.

Her body may begin changing before she notices or in ways that feel surprising.
She deserves information before she needs it.
Start the conversation early and keep it casual.

What would you add that you wish you'd known before you starting your first period?

There is nothing wrong with celebrating her helpfulness, thoughtfulness, or independence.

The problem comes when she learns those things are the price of being loved. The price of being "easy."

Girls who are always praised for being “easy” can become women who swallow disappointment, ignore their needs, and feel guilty for taking up space.

Let her be capable.

And let her be tired.
Let her disagree.
Let her need you.
Let her be human.

She does not need to earn her place in your heart. 💛

Confidence isn't making everyone like you. She will feel left out, misunderstood, or disliked. It's not a matter of IF, but WHEN.

Teach her to know what to do when it happens, to know that she doesn't need to abandon herself to change it.

Teach her to be kind. Teach her to include. Teach her to repair when she has caused harm.

But do not teach her that being liked is proof that she is good.

Her worth is not decided by a group chat, a lunch table, a team, or another girl’s opinion.

Let’s raise girls who trust themselves. 💛

A question about her body can feel big to her, even when it sounds small to us.

Listen calmly, without teasing or rushing past it. Get curious and find out why she is asking. If you don’t know the answer, you can say, “That’s a good question. Let’s find a reliable answer together.”

The message she needs most is: “You’re safe to ask me anything.”

One minute you’re packing snacks and checking backpacks. The next, you’re realizing she’s growing in ways you weren’t quite ready for.

I can be proud of who she’s becoming and still miss the little-girl moments. Both can be true.

The goal isn’t to have one flawless conversation. It’s to make room for many small ones—while driving, folding laundry, or packing for school.

Each one tells her: your questions are welcome here.

How to respond to her questions when you don't know the answer can often be more powerful than how you answer when you do know the answer.

Respond with curiosity, openness, and truth. Try "That's a good question. Let's find a reliable answer together."

Staying open and calm builds trust and confidence. It's okay to learn alongside her.
