Ngl this makes me a little emotional looking back at what it used to look like. This place was truly the product of blood, sweat and tears but we wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. No December plans for us, because we will be right here soaking up every moment.

I have to give credit where credit is due - this would NOT have been possible without @eugene.kruger and his incredible team at @durbanville.landscaping_ . They worked an absolute magic through trial and error and made it all happen. They built everything you see here, including the bar. Their talent amazes me!

Just in time for summer, our bedroom got a little refresh and I couldn’t have picked better bedside tables for this space. The Mano 3 Drawer Pedestals from @decofurnsa. The drawers, boho detailing and gold handles called my name.

Kinda just uno-reversed it. 🔄

My 20s were such a different season of life. I was figuring things out, becoming a wife, becoming a mom, building a life, and probably putting a lot more pressure on myself than I even realised at the time.

I think somewhere along the way, I started to understand myself better. What matters to me, what doesn’t, what I’m willing to give my energy to, and what I’m no longer willing to carry.

I’m still figuring things out, obviously. I don’t think that ever really stops. But I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin now than I did ten years ago.

And maybe that’s what I love most about this comparison. It’s not just that I look different. I FEEL different.

There’s something about getting older that makes you care a little less about things that used to consume you, and a little more about the things that actually make you happy.

If my 24-year-old self could see me now, I think she’d be surprised by a lot of things. And honestly, I think she’d be pretty proud🤍 by @raising.wildlings_
