It’s been 8 years since we created her… and let her loose into the world!! 💥
#Stree ♥️ by @rajanddk

A cool crime comedy set in our yester-year world… the NRI world… a genre-blend of real life corporate IT world and reel life crime-comedy. 🤓

What really pushed us to make A Gentleman was the unique twist we cracked for a classic double role film, something that hadn't been done before. 😎

Kicked that the film gets all this love all these years later. #AGentleman 🤍

One of those rare, one-of-a-kind worlds we got to shoot… retro, anamorphic, kitsch, pulp and gloriously heightened. Guns & Gulaabs is a mood! 😎

Kudos to our amazing crew and brilliant cast! 👏🏽
And thanks to adventurous @netflix_in for trusting us!

The joys of making an absurdist satirical comedy!! 😈#13YearsOfGoGoaGone by @rajanddk

15 years of Shor in the City ❤️

One of the first screenplays we wrote after coming back to India. We were sitting with Sita, wondering what to write...

That was when Mumbai was hitting us, hard. It was chaotic, alive, overwhelming, beautiful. It got us obsessed. Taking photos, collecting newspaper clippings, reading up everything about the city.

Somewhere in all that noise, the idea came. What if we wrote a love letter to the city?

We shot it during the most chaotic time of the year, Ganesh Chaturthi, on one of the earliest digital cameras back then. We struggled with harsh light, overexposed frames and tiny cameras. We started producing it ourselves, shooting guerrilla style with basic or no permissions, and no equipment... not even a tripod. And with our own money before producers came in and helped us make it.

It was raw, messy and completely independent in spirit and shot on real locations. We were just doing what felt right. Even getting it released was its own adventure.

Looking back, Shor was our rite of passage to find our place, our voice to start making the stories we really wanted to tell.

And who can forget that first tiny paycheque for writing, directing and producing? 😊 It was barely enough for us to buy a secondhand car… and finally return Sita’s back to her. 😄

We still remember almost every day of that shoot. The madness, the jugaad, the joy of pulling things off against all odds.

Grateful for the chaos. Grateful for the city. Grateful for where it all began. The noise refuses to settle!
