Thai brown rice and red rice mixed 4:1 and soaked for 24 hours looks like this. Next I’m going to soak sella rice (Indian/Pakistani parboiled basmati rice with methi, jeera and kaal-jeera seeds) for 20 mins ~ 1-hour and then combine all of them and cook normally in an electric automatic rice cooker; but not forgetting to add 2 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil on top first. Very yummy and healthy too! You should try it too and you will no doubt thank me — for which I say You’re Welcome in advance. by @rajataka

I managed to befriend this roaming cat for which I’m so grateful now cos it’s protecting us all from poisonous snakes and centipedes,,,not forgetting huge pesky rats as well! One thing I regret is that it’s eating the beautiful frogs as well, but have to accept it as collateral damage I guess. Can’t have everything can we now? Only the cat can. by @rajataka

What is this, please anyone tell us? I see this item being sold in HK markets along with fresh ginger, garlic, eggs etc but have no idea what it might be. Look like peeled roots of wild plants, washed and tied in small bundles. by @rajataka

This is one of the main roads to/fro our capital in Nepal, and in the rainy season it's more than likely to be covered by landslides half the time. This is one of the main reasons as to why we haven't been able to advance economically. We depend on this road for almost all our supplies, and when this very road is blocked, there's nothing we can do except to wait it out... by @rajataka

Village folks helping to plant millets and other crops in my country. They help each other turn by turn to do this kinda boring and monotonous work in everyone's houses in order to finish the crucial work swiftly while enjoying each other's company. They really make the work seem like great fun because they intermittently break up singing and dancing with dirty hands and faces! Eating together finally is the greatest fun part of it all. by @rajataka
