I started working on Suverna last year, bringing together an awesome dream team of people I’ve always wanted to work with.
Huge thanks to @rachelsantos.in & @chronicle_of_prakhar for the countless nights of hard work we put into this and playing multiple roles.

Special appreciation to @sanjaytomarx for bringing my vision to life 🖤

This project has been incredibly personal. We spent a considerable amount of time brainstorming mood boards to pinpoint Suverna’s vision with @dhruvy.boi . Suverna celebrates strength, softness, compassion, and complexities – a tale of the transformative journey between two friends who relish the naiveties of youth and the warmth of friendship, portrayed through visuals that transport us back in time to a cherished memory.

Favourite looks from the wildest shoot with the incredible teams at @gravitas_films and @therabbitholeagency ✨
Styling for the WPL anthem was a cultural adventure, celebrating outfits from different cultures of India.
Can’t wrap my head around how we pulled this off in such a short time.🕰️

For a few days, the world seemed to shrink to this little patch of earth. A waterfall, a tree, a few leaves. And somehow, the smaller it became, the more there seemed to be inside it.

A little homage to the tiny details of this very big world.

We were lying under a tree when tiny drops of water started falling on us. We thought it was raining, and even after we realised it was a cicada somewhere above us, pissing through the leaves, we decided to stay there anyway.

There was something wonderfully absurd about it. To lie there, letting a cicada’s tiny rain fall through the branches, listening to the waterfall, feeling the grass beneath us.

Then there were the little discoveries that followed, a crayfish moving through the water, the intricate folds of a flower, a leaf becoming almost architectural when seen up close.

For a few days, these were the things that filled the hours.

Happy birthday, huzz ❤️
We’ve lived a whole lifetime this year and somehow, it still feels like the beginning of something.
I can’t imagine how much this year has given us. It’s been loud, beautiful, messy, and everything in between. Somehow, it all felt like us.
• Kayaked across Cheow Lake, half adventure, half survival story
• Ate our way through Bangkok, every meal better than the last
• Sat in tuk tuks through the city lights
• Shot with Abhay Deol, still pretending that’s casual
• Got engaged 💍
• Got wrapped in so much love from family
• Got married, surreal and full of feeling
• Shot with Abhay again, because the universe clearly had plans
• Brought home our third cat, chaos officially moved in
• Hosted my birthday and somehow pulled off being adults
• Made our first film together with people who made it even more special
• Spent time at Savanna, quiet days that felt like a pause
• Survived a storm, literally and otherwise
• Built sets, broke sleep cycles, made things we’re proud of

I rarely document the process because I’m usually too caught up in figuring things out.

These BTS moments are from that in-between space where I was sharing ideas with @fanciful.unicorn and she was kind enough to ideate with me through it all, as the piece slowly took shape.

Maybe because when I’m making something, I’m completely lost in it—trying ideas, changing my mind, solving little problems as they come.

Looking back at these moments reminds me that’s actually my favourite part. Watching something that only existed in my head slowly become something I can hold.

From being my art buddy, my photography partner, my style advisor, my makeup artist, my fellow cat-obsessed soul
to now being the person I get to travel the world with.
You’ve been chaos, comfort, and everything in between. Somehow, no matter where life takes you, you still find your way back to me, and that’s the sweetest gift I could ever ask for.
Here’s to you the birthday girl, the hairstyle chameleon, the mission queen, and my forever partner-in-crime. I’m just so damn lucky to do life with you.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a glimpse of you here, but the truth is, a simple post could never fully capture your light. To know you is to be better for it. And I know I speak for everyone who knows you when I say your presence is a gift we don’t take for granted.

You are truly one of a kind. I’m convinced the universe must have rearranged its very stars just to create someone as rare as you. Watching you grow bolder, sharper, and wiser with every passing year is my favorite view; it makes me wonder how one person is capable of navigating life with such grace, uncovering its true meaning while the rest of us are still searching for the map.

I think now about how rare that permission has become
to float without urgency,
to let time loosen its grip,
to stand beneath unpolluted skies and remember how small you are,to be surrounded by life that does not revolve around you, that does not adjust itself for your arrival,
that continues, quietly, whether you are there or not.

What a beautiful world —
to be able to see the earth move,
to watch the savannah hold its breath all day,
to sit long enough for the land to reveal itself,
to look up and find stars and galaxies.

The land held its own rhythm.
Water moved when it wanted to.
Wind rearranged our thoughts without asking.
The sky opened fully, without interruption.
We drank tea slowly, the way one does when there is nothing to outrun and nowhere else to be.

There is a particular humility in being somewhere untouched
in realizing how little the earth requires from us,
and how much we keep asking of it in return.
To sit quietly becomes an act of listening.
To stay still feels like respect.

As the year closes, I understand something gently.
Beginnings are not milestones; they are agreements
quiet decisions about how we wish to move through life.
And that first one, made under open skies, held by living land,
set the tone for how this year learned to breathe.
If the ending feels whole,
it is only because the beginning was kind.
