I’ve not shown my face in a while… So what better way then to showcase it with more of the Querencia Studio brand work. . . #brandidentity #branding #makgrafix #artdirection #graphicdesigner by @rak.i.am
There’s something so satisfying about taking a logo off the screen and making it real with your own hands. When I designed the identity for Queuencia Studio, I wanted to give Joelle something a little more personal than just the files. So I got stuck in, got a bit dusty, and made her studio logo from plywood. It felt like the perfect way to bring the identity to life for her yoga space. . . #makgrafix #branding #brandidentity #design #graphicdesigner by @rak.i.am
One of my favourite brand books is The Brand Gap by Marty Neumeier. It’s packed with useful thinking for anyone building brands or designing for them, especially if you care about creating work that actually means something to a business. @marty_neumeier #thebrandgap #makgrafix #artdirection #brandidentity #branding by @rak.i.am

What’s all the Hyrox buzz about? Everyone seemed caught up in it, but I wasn’t. Then last December, I did it with my friend Suhail, mostly to see what the fuss was about. Having only trained properly for two months, I went in without huge expectations. What surprised me most wasn’t the physical challenge, it was the mindset shift. When I fully applied myself, even for a short stretch, I started to realise the power of intentional effort. The process itself becomes the reward. That lesson mirrors how I approach brand design. The transformation doesn’t happen at the finish line, or in the logo reveal... It happens in the process. The discovery, the revision, the uncomfortable push to uncover what truly sets you apart, that’s where the magic is built. Hyrox tested my endurance, but design tests my mindset in the same way: consistent effort, clarity of purpose, and a willingness to push through challenge. Because the result only matters when the process changes you, when it pushes you beyond what’s obvious. Welcome to the next evolution of Cake Palette 🤍 Inspired by art, architecture, and the belief that cakes can be more than dessert, they can be edible art. This new chapter is about quality over quantity, deeper impact, and creating work that truly represents who I am today. by @rak.i.am
Curtains drawn. Vanza Fashions was more than just a shop, it was a home, a gathering place, and a heartbeat of the community. As we say farewell, we do so with a big smile and an open heart. Since opening our doors in Manor Park in 1983, Vanza Fashions has been both a family home and a haven, a place where people came not only to buy, but to belong. My mum’s home‑cooked food and my dad’s caring ear filled the shop with warmth, laughter, and connection. Every visit became a moment shared, every conversation a thread in the fabric of something bigger. What stays with us now isn’t only the memory of a place, but the feeling of being truly welcomed, seen, and cared for, the essence of community that Mum and Dad built together. From our family to yours, thank you, each and every one of you, for making Vanza Fashions so special. As we turn the page, we carry these memories with full hearts and endless gratitude.
