STAY | @hotelindigoraleigh is officially open! The hotel recently underwent a $36 million renovation, and has a beautiful mid-century modern aesthetic, 204 rooms, and a wonderful, inviting lounge space. @highgroundloungeraleigh is located on the 20th floor, the city’s highest rooftop cocktail bar with sweeping skyline views of Raleigh. I’m excited to come back for drinks at sunset!

Built in 1969, the building was once the tallest in the city and known for its round imprint on the city’s skyline. There are only 9 of these hotels left! It’s been designated a Raleigh historic landmark building.

Hotel Indigo Raleigh is located at 320 Hillsborough St, Raleigh. Drop in soon for a walk (or stay) down memory lane.

DINE | I’m so excited we had the chance to dine at Lloyd’s Full Service in the heart of downtown Cary last week! We visit Cary often and love the energy of Chatham Street, and Lloyd’s feels right at home on one of its most vibrant corners.

Set inside a beautifully restored 1950s service station, @lloydsfullservice blends the building’s history with a fresh, fun + modern feel. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, along with indoor dining and bar seating, and the menu features seasonal, creative takes on familiar American dishes.

I love when cities find ways to give old, history-filled spaces new life while still honoring what made them special in the first place. Lloyd’s does exactly that. The style, colors, and layout are well done, and even better, the food was great. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Here’s what we tried:

✨Cauliflower Fritters with aji amarillo, cotija cheese, and cilantro. (My fav)
✨Salt & Vinegar Fish Fry with fried pickles, fennel, and herb remoulade.
✨Linguine & Clams with garlic, white wine, ginger, turmeric, Pecorino, and breadcrumbs.
✨The Full Plate, a meat-and-two-style plate with your choice of entrée and sides. We went with the Grilled Sirloin Cap Steak with chimichurri, plus fries and broccoli, paired with a nice red wine🍷.

EXPLORE | Super excited for the new @flowerscottage.dixpark coffee /outdoor bar @dixpark opening later this week!

The historic 1910 Flowers Cottage one of the oldest buildings in Dix Park has been remodeled into two levels with Cottage Coffee on the upper level and the Park Bar on the bottom level. They are serving up roasted coffee, tea, soft serve ice cream and snacks as well as craft beer and wine (prosecco on draft). Plenty of seating and one of the best views of the city. Located conveniently close to the @thomasdambo trolls!

TRAVEL | wonderful weekend escape to discover some new (to me) places in Eastern NC. We stayed at the lovely @bluejuniperinn in Columbia, NC. Easy walk to coffee + water views. Beautiful sunset spot. After breakfast at the inn we were off to explore with easy drives to Manteo + Edenton. Had a wonderful lunch in Manteo @1587lounge inside @tranquilhouseinn + explored the shops. Went back to Blue Juniper Inn to relax and hang with our new cat friends and then had dinner in Edenton! Super nice staff and great food @the_herringbone_edenton + a fun stop for a drink before dinner @edentonbaytradingcompany . Thank you @imfixintoblog for all the great recommendations! We miss all our cat friends + Juniper spying on all of our activities at the Inn.
