Grief is such a winding road,
you can try to keep it steady
but it moves when it gets ready
They say it’s love without a home
It hurts to feel the distance, to speak of you in past tense
I could let my heart grow bitter and cold
But I will bless the Lord, oh my soul

This week has been harder than we can ever imagine. Last Tuesday, we found out that after four years of infertility, we were naturally by God’s grace pregnant with our miracle baby. Unfortunately, early Sunday morning, Haleigh suffered an ectopic pregnancy, and was rushed via ambulance to have emergency surgery, resulting in the loss of pregnancy. Four days of joy, and now it’s been four days of grief. The weight of what we’ve walked through the last few days is heavier than we ever could of imagined, but we’re grateful for our community that has shown up and shown us the grace, love, and care of Jesus over the last few days. Our grieving hearts are filled with hope, knowing that even though we don’t understand and have questions, our God is bigger, in control, and has written our story. We have a long road of physical and mental recovery, but finding joy in the midst of suffering. Commanding our souls to give praise to the Son of suffering, the Lord of hosts, who’s with us even when it hard, when it costs, when it hurts. by @ralphcedwards

We’re coming home.

Thanks to everyone that has reached out. This morning we announced that we’ll be transitioning off staff at @fellowshipcabot and have accepted a position as the Creative Pastor at @fbcjenks. For us two things can be true, we’re grieving the loss of a beautiful season here in Arkansas. There’s been so much growth, so much healing, and so many friends that have become family. With that grief, we are so excited to be back home, with our families, and back in a church community we love and have deep relationship with. God’s fingerprints have been all over this journey and the best is yet to come!

We’ll still be around for a few more weeks, my last Sunday will be Easter! Would love to hug necks and see our Arkansas friends before we head out! by @ralphcedwards
