A great case for a great patient!

After having her composite bonding redone several times over the years, she was ready for a change. Years of staining had taken a toll, and she wanted a more natural, long-lasting solution.

Together with @tooth.bae, we were able to transform her smile with beautiful, natural-looking lithium disilicate veneers and help restore her confidence!

Nothing better than seeing a patient smile with confidence again! by @ramanidentistryfl

Four porcelain veneers to transform this smile.

This patient wanted to improve the color and shape of her front teeth. Everything was digitally planned in 3D together with @precisionestheticsdentallab , so she could preview her new smile before we ever touched a tooth.

$“What happens if I just leave my metal filling alone?” Sometimes, absolutely nothing! If an old metal filling is intact and the surrounding tooth is healthy, there’s no reason to replace it just because it’s old. In this case, however, we had noticed significant cracking and wear around this 30-year-old filling. Eventually, one of the walls of the tooth fractured off. Luckily, there was enough healthy tooth remaining to rebuild it and protect it with a porcelain crown. If the fracture had extended deeper, saving the tooth may have required additional treatment, or may not have been possible at all. We don’t replace metal fillings just because they’re old. But when a tooth shows signs of weakening, being proactive can sometimes prevent a much bigger problem later! by @ramanidentistryfl$

🦷 What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a way to replace a missing tooth. A titanium implant is placed in the bone to replace the missing tooth’s root, and a custom crown is then attached on top to recreate the tooth you see and use.

For this patient, we placed the implant about 3 months ago. During that healing period, the implant undergoes osseointegration, a process where the surrounding bone grows and bonds to the implant, creating a stable foundation for the final tooth.

You’ll notice the pink healing abutment in the photos. This temporarily covers and protects the implant while it heals. Its pink color helps it blend with the surrounding gums, while its shape allows the tissue to heal around the implant and keeps the area accessible when it’s time for the final crown.

The entire surgery was digitally planned in 3D and completed using a surgical guide, allowing us to precisely plan the position, angle, and depth of the implant before surgery.

The best part? Our patient returned to work the very next day with no pain or issues.

After healing, we worked with a high-quality dental lab @precisionestheticsdentallab to create a custom crown designed specifically for the surrounding tissue, allowing for a natural appearance, healthy gums, and easy cleaning long-term.

3D planned. Guided placement. Custom restoration. One new tooth.

This patient had been bothered by the white spots on her front teeth ever since getting braces in high school. She’s been looking for a treatment option but wanted to avoid drilling or veneers.

We treated her front four teeth with ICON Resin Infiltration, a minimally invasive treatment that helps blend white spot lesions into the surrounding tooth.

✔️ No drilling
✔️ No injections
✔️ Immediate results
✔️ Preserves your natural tooth structure

If you’ve had white spots since braces or have discoloration from fluorosis, schedule a consultation to see if you’re a candidate.

A very happy Monday for this lovely patient!

This patient came to us with significant wear and cracking on her front two teeth. We carefully prepared the teeth and placed temporary crowns, and then we sent detailed photos to our lab to ensure the final crowns blended seamlessly with her surrounding teeth.

The result: natural-looking, stronger front teeth and a beautifully refreshed smile! by @ramanidentistryfl

$This patient presented as a new patient emergency with a missing #9 ceramic crown that had fractured multiple times. He also noted it appeared yellower and longer than his adjacent teeth. Assessment of his occlusion showed us that not only did he not have clearance for the type of material that was used before, but he also was a heavy grinder and clencher. After re-prepping the tooth and removing underlying decay, we collaborated with our local lab using photos and 3D mockups to fabricate a stronger while still aesthetic ceramic crown. We also delivered a custom 3D nightguard to help manage TMJ symptoms and protect his restorations. The patient requested a slightly whiter shade in anticipation of future whitening with our Kor system, and both he and our team are very pleased with the result. by @ramanidentistryfl$
