The beauty is in the process

'Trial and Error'

Shining light on the process before the success, the failures, the experimentation, the invisible struggles that are pivotal to reaching the final outcome.

Every step of the journey is a learning curve and is beneficial to reaching the end goal. That failure, that scrunched up painting you threw in the bin, was necessary to get to the next step, whether you realise it or not.

Process behind one of the latest commissions

We went through multiple photos to find the perfect shot for the piece, then chose colour combinations that was unique to the clients and their story (in the end the combo was inspired by the exterior of the Florence Duomo Cathedral)
Digital mockups were made so we both knew where we'd end up once it's complete, then it was on to the fun bit seen here. A whole process to get to this point

Open for more commissions, send over a message if you'd like to reimagine a special memory in paint like this

What did you see FIRST? Watering can or fuel can?

Our house is on fire and we all have a part to play. Up close it's more clear what he's holding, but at first glance some people see a jerry can rather than a watering can. With both it still fits the idea that he's playing his part, either to help put it out or to add fuel. I know I do both daily

"A mere 57 oil, gas, coal and cement producers are directly linked to 80% of the world’s global fossil CO2 emissions since the 2016 Paris climate agreement", but we as individuals are told to make sure we use paper straws. We're just playing our part, using a watering can to put out a house fire.
Thing is, that doesn't mean we stop using our watering cans.

Original sold but there's prints - this is the largest size (a2) and got some in half this size (a3) then half that size (a4)

The polaroids continue

The largest set of individual paintings I’ve done, starting off with the spray painted backgrounds going through the colour wheel

Using the stencils I made out of yupo paper + cardboard from the previous sets

Stay tuned for the flowers 💐
