In philanthropy, scaling what works can help reach more people and expand programmes. But growth can take different forms, and not all of them are about getting bigger.

Can philanthropy grow wider while staying committed to what grows deeper?

I first talked about this on LinkedIn some time ago, but the question has stayed with me.

We talk a lot about measuring impact. And for good reason, measurement can help us learn, improve our work, and make better decisions about where resources go.

But what happens when the things we measure start influencing how we define impact in the first place?

Curious to hear how you see it. 💬 by @ramaragatiary

Have you ever wondered if the word “inclusive” in “inclusive education” can sometimes create a sense of distance within the very room it is meant to open?

Who gets to be “in”? And who gets to shape what happens there?

Let’s hear your thoughts. 💬 by @ramaragatiary

What might actually sit underneath meaningful youth participation?

Sometimes, young people are brought into a project to make it feel more inclusive or youth-friendly, without necessarily having the capacity or space to shape it.

In this Bites of Insights, we explore four things to consider when building meaningful youth participation.

Not a definitive framework, just a few ideas worth thinking about.

Curious to hear what you think! 💭 by @ramaragatiary

Ever had to choose between two options where neither one feels quite right? 🤔

Sometimes, problems are difficult because different people see them differently, have different needs, or value different things.

These are often called wicked problems.

What’s a problem you think doesn’t have one easy answer? by @ramaragatiary

Ever wondered why some problems just keep coming back? 👀

You fix one thing, then somehow, there it is again.

Sometimes, fixing what we can see isn't enough. It can be about looking at what's around the problem and how those things work together.

What’s one problem you wish would just stop coming back?
