Finally hanging some long dry paintings 🖼️ Oil and acrylic on canvas, 12x20 inches. Still love making these little guys in their abstract textured worlds. #abstractpainting #abstractlandscapepainting #abstractlandscape #smallartist #texturedart taken in Washington, DC by @ramartiniart

I’ve had this piece in my office for years and I think it really captures the vibe in a way. Acrylic on canvas about 14x20 inches. #acrylicpainting #abstractartwork #contemporaryart #officedecor #texturedpainting taken in Washington, DC by @ramartiniart

Portrait commission from my very good friends @kristinab_kivi and @nickkivi, thank you for sending this idea my way!! This was a fun project with the perfect perspective to play with keeping it loose on the edges and background but bringing it tight towards the center with the figures faces, while supporting this approach with the lighting. Hope you enjoy the painting process start to finish as much as I did. #portraitpainting #artprocess #paintingprocess #smallartist #figurepainting by @ramartiniart

👺 Crafting a new creature 👹 as summer yields to cooler days and dungeon synth season is fast approaching. Listening to Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive. In addition to painting I may need to revisit the dungeon synth album idea. All creature ideas welcome. #artprocess #paintingprocess #darkfantasyart #darkart #darkfantasy taken in Washington, DC by @ramartiniart

🔔💞🫡 SOLD! ✅💌➡️📬 Ive been painting this series of figures within abstract landscapes for years. I love painting these and they seem to be a fan favorite as well. I have many more of all shapes, colors, and sizes. I would love to do a huge one if anyone is interested in a large painting! 🖼️ Is the figure in the landscape, or part of the landscape?? ⛰️🧍🏻‍♂️🌲 #abstractpainting #smallartist #interiordecor #interiordesign #gallerywall taken in Washington D. 🖌️ 🎨 🖼️ Just trying to stay in shapes 🔵 🔸🔻Follow for the result! I’ve been doing a lot of figurative painting recently, and reading essays on Willem de Kooning, so mixing it up a bit today and thinking about what I want to paint next. #abstractart #artprocess #paintingprocess #workinprogress #abstractpainting taken in Washington, DC by @ramartiniart

Just a glob of paint… Vermeer’s technique is always impressive but his approach to this earring is so restrained yet effective: not just outlining and filling in a sphere, just providing the information the eyes need with two little globs of paint. Which is why I’m always the guy at the art museum getting too close to paintings. Up close every painting is a landscape in itself. (And I would never tell someone not to touch my art!) #figurepainting #oldmasters #vermeer #painting #smallartist taken in Washington D. C. by @ramartiniart
