Rambler was created as a social experiment to test the limits of offline participation. We didn’t have an instagram page until our third issue. We’ve thrown scores of paper flyer and word of mouth only shows, and always ask folks to stay off their devices. We shoot film, we make zines, we organize around print and in person creativity. About half of our admin team doesn’t have any online presence. This page has never been a great reflection of who we are and what we do, and that’s partly by design. We’ve grown a lot the past six years, but we will always first and foremost be a reason to put your phone down. There’s a cool essay under our ‘Vision’ tab on the website that takes the ideas in this infographic a bit further.

If we’re on this app at all, it’s to meet folks where they’re at, so you’ll see more stuff from us on here calling attention to the absurdity of algorithm culture, and we’ll see you in the real world ☮️
