I present to you —— The Ramblin Rig which is 99% done!!! It was a hectic few weeks of getting the van ready for Bonnaroo ( 😞 ) and for moving back to CO so just now getting around to taking photos. I plan to make a tour video to nerd out over all the details soon! In short : 1999 Econoline E150 club wagon/2000 Mark iii conversion w 83k miles @renogyofficial 200w solar panel @ankersolix_official c1000x power station @setpower.usa dt35 fridge freezer on locking slides @maxxairvent 7500k vent fan 12v led lights 120v AC shore power port Vinyl sheet flooring 10 inch memory foam mattress, a little smaller than a full Butcher block countertops w/ a flip up extension Passenger seat swivel chair Repurposed fractal burnt plywood Repurposed street sign flip up tables Faux tin ceiling tiles Bar sink with clean and grey water tanks (still work in progress) Shelves, cabinets and storage all throughout Think I covered most of it but like I said detailed tour video coming soon once I wrap up some odds and ends!! Couple of pics of these freshly painted wall panels + a few more added details! In the past few weeks I’ve had my head DOWN working to finish the build. All the little details are way more time consuming than you’d think 😅 But we’re getting there - cabinets/walls are painted and all that’s left to do is install a ceiling, re-install cabinets and a few odds n ends. Then I’ll be “done” 😏 I’m sure stuff will be added and changed over time… I will post pics once the cabinets and ceiling are in, and be sure to look out for a tour video in the next couple weeks. Two month check in! Made a lot of progress since my last post - cabinets roughed in, made wall panels, finished off insulation, added upholstery trim, started upper storage areas, and some other projects that are moving us in the right direction of finishing this thing!! Another big week in the build! - Put in the finish floor, vinyl sheet in the front rubber garage flooring in the back - Bed frame storage system built - Added bulkhead partition with slide out for toilet - Swivel seat put in - Lots of visits from my favorite void Everything is coming along nicely!! The past week and a half has been busy! - MaxxFan 7500k installed - Renogy 200w solar panel mounted - rivnuts mounted throughout the van - pre-wire for lights and fan done - Pioneer stereo installed featuring some @crawdadsniper - ceiling support strips mounted - AC inlet plug installed - rear window resealed Moving and grooving, next to come -> flooring, insulation, ceiling panels, cabinetry! #vanlife #diyvanbuild #vanconversions by @ramblinrig

This week in the van build ➡️ Removed old conversion from the interior - did so to make room for a more livable and insulated space. Resealed some troublesome seams that were letting in water, the Florida sun and weather has done a number on the stock paint and a lot of these seals ☀️ Patched bolt holes left behind from the seats with epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth. Laid the subfloor - 1/2” plywood over 3/4” xps foamboard (paid $30 for a whole bunch of the foam on Facebook marketplace, such a steal). Will add sheet vinyl over the subfloor here pretty soon. Clean Slate 🛠️ Out with the old and in with the new! Van is gutted, next up will be patching floor holes with fiberglass, then will come insulation and flooring. Also needing to repair some rust on the rear drip rail.
