On Tuesday, August 11, I had the opportunity to visit the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) Headquarters and meet our project partners.

I was selected as one of the 8 student designers to work on a campaign for QRU that aims to encourage existing clubs and participants to re-register for the 2027 season. While also attracting new clubs and participants into the rugby competition ecosystem. This is more than simply an administrative reminder campaign. The challenge is to create a campaign that positions rugby union as something people genuinely want to return to because of its social, emotional and community value.

I am grateful for the chance to begin working in a professional environment and gain valuable industry experience through this Work Integrated Learning project during my final semester at QUT. I can’t wait for the final result 🤩

Ozzo the Owl is the friendly face of the Mobile Vision Van, a health campaign travelling across schools all over Aussie (Sponsored by Future Vision Australia).

Piplo (@piplowear) is a statement against the monotony that dominates today’s gym wear brands. While most brands lean heavily into repetitive designs and a culture of hyper-masculinity.

Piplo chooses a different path. It thrives on individuality, creativity, and playfulness. Proving that gymwear doesn’t have to be boring, it can be expressive, and fun whilst being functional.
