We all stand on the shoulders of Gloria Steinem.

Before Gloria Steinem, society locked both sexes in a rigid cage:

To Women: You couldn’t open a bank account without a man’s permission, keep your job if you got pregnant, or legally access birth control if single. Your autonomy was stripped, and your ambition was treated as a defect.

To Men: You were forced into a toxic, tough-guy script. Today’s “alpha” influencers didn’t invent that hustle, they are just reselling the old cage. Steinem exposed it decades ago. Forcing men to suppress emotion, chase dominance, and fear vulnerability leaves you isolated and fragile.

And do not “Okay Boomer” her. Gloria was of the Silent Generation, providing leadership skills to Boomers just as they entered the workforce. Whether you realize it or not, your current choices were paid for by her fight.

Every independent woman thriving in her career, and every modern man choosing authentic connection over a transactional performance, stands directly on the shoulders of Gloria Steinem.

Actor Sam Neill has passed.
Here he gives a heartfelt answer about the influence of his parents and mother in particular. Don’t know why, but this always moved me. “You’re just going to have to pull yourself together, aren’t you?” Mom strength passed on. 😊

🎬 From blockbusters to cult classics, here are his most iconic roles:
🦖 Jurassic Park (1993, 2001, 2022) – The unforgettable Dr. Alan Grant.
🕵️‍♂️ Peaky Blinders – The ruthless Major Chester Campbell.
🚢 The Hunt for Red October (1990) – Captain Vasily Borodin.
🎹 The Piano (1993) – Alisdair Stewart in the Oscar-winning drama.
🚀 Event Horizon (1997) – Dr. Weir in the ultimate sci-fi horror.
🛶 Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) – The grumpy Uncle Hec.
🧙‍♂️ Merlin (1998) – The legendary wizard himself.
🪵 Dead Calm (1989) – The tense thriller that launched him globally.
What is your absolute favorite Sam Neill performance? 👇
