REMEMBERING JOE KUBERT ON HIS 100th BIRTHDAY

Getting to attend Joe's school and getting to know Joe was a rare privilege. Apart from being a master storyteller, a generous teacher, and a warm and gracious human all around, I had the chance to learn from and work with Joe as I assisted (very minimally!) on some Sgt. Rock pages.

I knew at the time that this was an extraordinary experience and as the years go by, it only grows in its importance to me. As both an artist and a man, Joe was a great influence for countless young artists, me certainly not the least by @randallshots

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VAN THE MAN. 81 years young today!

And what a fellow he is.

The irascible, mercurial Irishman has a fiery reputation that stretches back decades. Luckily for him and all of us, his musical vision is just as passionate and powerful. At his best-- and he's been there pretty often over his career-- his music transports like few others.

So, today the forecast is steady spins of Van, taking us "Into the Mystic", and INTO THE MUSIC. by @randallshots

Here come the rewards!

The bonus rewards for my latest campaign, TREKKER: THE TIES THAT BIND have all arrived here at Trekker HQ! The book itself is inbound as well, and expected on Sept 22, when things lock in and campaign fulfillment begins!

If you missed the campaign earlier this year, you can still hop on board through the Late Pledges feature at BackerKit and get all this cool, campaign-exclusive stuff as my extra thank you for supporting Mercy’s journey!

Sticker sheet, bookmark, wrap-around cover mini poster, trading cards, watercolor print, and of course, the finest sci-fi action comic that I know how to make.

Sign up for the Trek now, through the link in my bio, or at https://trekker-ties.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders by @randallshots

Buddy is curled up in his cozy bed as I work on the next Trekker story, outlining it long hand and old school.

Buddy claims he "thinks better" in this position, and thus his sharp editing is at its finest. So, "Good dog, Buddy", I guess? by @randallshots
