Seeing the "Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure" exhibit and Basquiat's work in person was definitely one of the highlights of 2022. What makes this exhibit so unique and special is that it is curated by his sisters Lisane Basquiat and Jeanine Herviveaux. Over 200 pieces of his artwork and personal objects are on display for the public to see. The exhibit takes you on a journey starting with his childhood growing up in Brooklyn discovering his gift and love of art to his adult years evolving into the creative genius and iconic artist he is known as today. The exhibit closes soon. I highly recommend seeing it. Thank you to the @basquiatofficial family for curating and sharing this @basquiatkingpleasure exhibit with the world. 🙏🏾 . #basquiat #art #jeanmichelbasquiat #kingpleasure #artist #graffiti #graffitiart #contemporaryart #abstractart #neoexpressionism #artwork #culture #samo #painting #urbanart #streetart #genius #icon #artactivism #legend #BlackExcellence #nyc #newyork #brooklyn by @randolphsturrup

I had the opportunity to collaborate and work with some amazing people to co-direct and produce along with @jaymc86 a spoken word tribute video honoring and celebrating our iconic pioneers Mr. #HarryBelafonte and Mr. #SidneyPoitier who both turned 91 years old this year. On this last day of #NationalPoetryMonth, we wanted to launch this tribute as a way to say thank you to these great men for their life, achievements in the #arts, continuous #work in activism, #friendship and #brotherhood. [Swipe left to watch the trailer and Link in bio to view the FULL video] Thank you to our incredible team and everyone who supported us to make this happen. Share, Re-post, and Comment. . .
