Nothing like crunch time to get the job done! It took a few attempts, but I did managed to fit my whole life into two backpacks! Next stop —> Tokyo! by @randomandithings

Part 25 and my final part of The Baan Hom Samunphrai School in Chiang Mai, Thailand 🌿🇹🇭

Y’all really came along for the RIDE with this series, and looking back, I still can’t believe this was my actual SCHOOL experience. 😂🥹

I went to Thailand wanting to learn about traditional Thai herbal medicine, but I had no idea just how hands-on everything would be.

Making our own beauty products, learning remedies passed down through generations, experimenting with ingredients I’d never heard of, and eating some of the BEST food of my life?!

And somehow, lying on a bed with literal FIRE underneath it became one of my most-saved videos. 😂🔥

What made this experience so special wasn’t just what we made. It was learning from our teacher, sharing discoveries with classmates from around the world, and seeing how these traditions are woven into everyday life.

I’ve linked the original Reels throughout this video, so if something catches your attention, you can watch the full experience!

Thank you to everyone who’s followed this journey, whether you’ve been here since Part 1 or just found my page. 🤍

Now I need to know… are you trying the homemade beauty products, the herbal hot beds, or heading STRAIGHT for the Thai food?! 😂👇

It don't matter what country I'm in... I'm always down for a waterfall 😍 especially on a random weekday by @randomandithings

The best part about not telling everyone I was coming home? Getting to see their reactions when I walked through the door. 😂

I’m talking screaming, hugs, and literally being PICKED UP off the ground!!

After spending so much time building a new community in Thailand, I was really missing the one I already had back home.

Coming home has been bittersweet because I genuinely wish I could be in two places at once.

I miss my friends in Thailand. I miss the adventures and the little routines I’d started building there. But I also missed the people who have loved and supported me through so many different chapters of my life.

And if there’s one thing this experience has taught me, it’s that home isn’t always a place. Sometimes it’s the people who make you feel like you belong. ❤️

I’m so grateful to have people worth missing on both sides of the world.

Have you ever lived somewhere new and felt like your heart belonged in two places at once? 🥹

🇹🇭❤️ My last day in Chiang Mai.

I don’t think there’s a more fitting way I could’ve spent my last morning in Thailand. 🥹

My housemate helped me cut my hair, and we turned it into a little ritual of setting intentions, letting go, and welcoming whatever comes next. We even left my hair in the compost on the property, so a little piece of me will always be in Thailand. 🌱

Then we hopped on the motorcycle for one last ride and grabbed breakfast together. Two of my favorite things: a good morning adventure and even better company.

Looking back, I’m so grateful for the people who made a foreign place feel like home.

I’ve started over in new places before, and one thing life keeps reminding me is that when you show up as yourself, with an open heart, the right people will find you.

I came to Thailand for the adventure, but I’m leaving with so much more than I ever expected.

And I’m so proud of myself for being brave enough to go. ❤️

Have you ever met someone while traveling who made a new place feel like home?

🇹🇭 Sometimes you have to go somewhere new to discover what really matters to you. ❤️

When I moved to Thailand, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted my life to look like. Freedom, adventure, new experiences, and a whole world waiting to be explored.

And while I found all of those things, I also discovered something I didn’t expect.

Having a life full of experiences means so much more to me when I have people to share it with. 🥹

I spent a lot of time journaling, questioning my decisions, and figuring out what I actually wanted versus what I thought I wanted.

And one thing I’ve learned is that you can make a decision, change your mind, and still be proud of yourself for trying.

I’m so grateful I gave myself the opportunity to experience life abroad, even if it didn’t unfold the way I imagined.

Because sometimes the greatest thing you bring home from a trip isn’t a souvenir or a photograph.

It’s a better understanding of yourself. ❤️

Have you ever gone after something you thought you wanted, only to discover something completely different about yourself along the way?

Your next coffee date in Chiang Mai needs to be HERE!

If you love cute cafés and creative experiences, add Deja Brew to your Chiang Mai itinerary!

Not only can you grab a delicious coffee, but you can also sit down, get creative, and make your own coffee art! 🎨

I absolutely LOVE finding places that offer more than just something to eat or drink, and this was such a fun way to spend an afternoon catching up with a friend.

Between the cozy atmosphere, good coffee, and a little creativity, this is the kind of café I’d happily spend hours in. 🥹☕

A little reminder that goodbyes don’t always mean you’re losing something.

One of the biggest lessons I learned while traveling is that everyone you meet is your teacher. And instead of being sad about what I’m leaving behind, I try to be grateful for everything I gained from the experience. The lessons, the memories, and the love. 🥹

Before I left, I had the idea to get a copy of All The Places You'll Go with blank pages so I could have my friends and new people I meet while traveling sign it - and I'm so glad I did!!! It’s such a special way to carry a little piece of everyone with me.

I also travel with my @kodakphotoprinter_usa Mini Shot 2 Retro! 📸 It lets me take pictures and print them on the spot, or connect to my phone and print photos I’ve already taken. I love being able to give people a physical memory of our time together and keep one for myself.

Between the handwritten messages and printed pictures, I have so many little reminders of the beautiful people I’ve crossed paths with.

Goodbyes may never get easier, but I’m learning to leave with a full heart instead of a heavy one. ❤️

If there’s one thing you need to know about me... I L O V E a fun beverage which basically includes everything except water 🤣🤣🤣And y’allllll, Thailand did NOT disappoint!

From morning coffees and matcha runs to fresh coconuts, fruit smoothies, and the occasional cocktail, I was finding something tasty to sip on almost every day.

Honestly, trying different cafés and little drink spots became one of my favorite parts of exploring. No gatekeeping over here!

📍 Some of my favorite drink stops in Chiang Mai, Thailand:

☕ Coffee: Living Room

🍵 Matcha: the butterfly effect

🍓 Smoothies: Joost Smoothies

🥥 Fresh coconuts: Deep Green

🍹 Cocktails & other drinks: Le Du Kan

SAVE this for your next Thailand trip!

🐘 My first time meeting ELEPHANTS in Thailand!!

Y’allllll, I knew elephants were big, but NOTHING prepares you for standing right next to one! 😭

I got to visit Thom’s Pai Elephant Camp in Pai, Thailand, and finally experience feeding elephants in person. Watching them use their trunks to grab food right out of my hands was already such a surreal experience.

But apparently, one of them wanted a little more than a snack because WHY DID IT GRAB ME BY MY WAIST?! 😂😭

For a split second, my heart DROPPED! I was not prepared for that kind of interaction, but it definitely made the experience unforgettable.

This is exactly why I love traveling. You can watch a thousand videos of something, but experiencing it for yourself is a whole different feeling.

Have you ever fed an elephant before? And be honest… would you have stayed calm if one grabbed you like that?! 😂 by @randomandithings
