My reaction to „Fragile“, in which #madonna mournes the death of her brother Christopher. Beautiful song🥰

Do you already have a favorite song on Confessions II?

I used to have a complicated relationship with Hard Candy.

When I first heard “4 Minutes”, I was so disappointed I almost cried — Justin Timberlake and Timbaland on a Madonna record just didn’t make sense to me at the time.

And honestly? Most of this album still doesn’t. As you can see from my ranking, I basically put half the songs on the same level. They’re not bad. They’re just… there.

“She’s Not Me” - for the popcultural moment:

At the MDNA Tour, Madonna mixed it into “Express Yourself” — together with snippets of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”. Chanting “she’s not me” while Born This Way played. In a stadium. In front of thousands of people. I mean. The audacity. The theatrics. The pop culture moment.

That alone makes Hard Candy worth owning.

Miles Away at number one. No contest.

What’s your least favourite Madonna album? 👇

The ultimate collector’s temptation… 💿🔥

This is Madonna’s “Broken” vinyl — an ICON Fan Club exclusive that was originally planned for 2010 but finally shipped in 2012. Never officially released.

Today it’s worth approx. $1,000… and mine is still sealed. 🙈

When it arrived, I didn’t even own a record player and honestly this vinyl was the reason why I started collecting more. And I asked myself for years: open it and see the pink vinyl inside - or not?

But I made my decision:
It stays unopened. 🔒

Collector instinct or huge mistake?

What do you think?

#octobervinylchallenge by @deadformat - A wild looking pressing

The packaging already looks amazing

The “regular” pressing is crazy: it reads #mayhem on that translucent orange vinyl

But the star of this @bloodrecs pressing is the liquid filled vinyl

It’s absolutely insane🤯 taken in Frankfurt, Germany by @randy1976ffm

4 out of my 5 favorite Madonna ballads of the 2000s come from the same album… and somehow it is still underrated. 👀

American Life really was doing something special with Madonna’s quieter, more vulnerable songs.

If you had to guess… what did you think it was going to be? 😂

Here I am with my most-played album of the year — standing in front of a wall with 21 other editions of it behind me. So I guess the answer wasn’t exactly hard to predict.

Confessions II is pure perfection to me. Danceable from start to finish, but at the same time probably the most personal album Madonna has ever released.

No surprise this one has been on repeat. 🪩❤️

Unpack with me @troyesivan latest release “She’s The Best“.

It’s packed with seriously good pop, and I already know I’m going to be dancing to quite a few of these tracks.

My favorites so far are Party and Canada Dry — which one is yours? 👀

I can’t stop thinking about this interpretation of Madonna’s VMA performance.

Today I was listening to the latest episode of @mlvcpodcast : what if this entire sequence is a choreographed interpretation of what Madonna went through in 2023?

The pain she went through.
Moving toward the light.
Circling the choir.
And then turning back — toward the stage, the audience, life.

Of course, this is an interpretation, not something I’m claiming Madonna has confirmed. But once I watched the performance through that lens… I couldn’t unsee it.

What do you think — intentional symbolism or are we reading too much into it?

Theory/interpretation credit: @mlvcpodcast ❤️

Two weeks ago, a dream came true🥰
If you follow me for a while, you know that @sunsetblvdmusical by @andrewlloydwebber is my favorite musical. The obsession started back in the 90s with @helenlschneiderartist as my first Norma Desmond. Years later I saw @glennclose in the same role, which was a breathtaking experience. But from a vocal point of view @nicolescherzinger nailed this role.

As I didn’t had the chance to meet her on the stage door, I brought a sign to a @pussycatdolls concert, asking her to sign my Sunset Blvd. playbill. Dreams do come true🥰 taken in Frankfurt, Germany by @randy1976ffm

16 Madonna studio albums. 4 criteria. One ranking. 👀

I scored every album based on:
how I felt about it at the time, the cover, the visual world and the music itself — with the music getting a little extra weight.

And one important thing: the song you hear for each album is NOT necessarily the lead single.
I picked the song that, for me, best represents that album — usually the one I connect with most.

Because ranking the albums purely by their lead singles?
That deserves a reel of its own. 😏

Some of these results surprised even me.

Which placement are you going to fight me over first? 😂

I’m not even a huge Miley Cyrus fan — but I needed this @vertigo.vinyl Edition the second I saw it. 👀

With some of Miley’s previous albums, I’d love one or two big songs but stop listening to the record as a whole. This one feels different. I can put this one on from start to finish and enjoy the whole thing.

And when I saw this pressing… yeah. There was no chance I was leaving it behind. 😂

Really happy to have this one in the collection.

Are you a full-album Miley listener — which one should I give another chance?

#octobervinylchallenge by @deadformat : Any soundtrack or score. Set the scene! Movie, TV Show, Video Game, #musical

For those who know me, I didn’t choose the obvious. The first thing that came to my mind this morning was the great music of #grease

I remember I first discovered this as a kid in the record collection (very small) of my mother. And I just recently re-purchased this at a record fair.
This movie was the start of world careers of #johntravolta and #olivianewtonjohn and gave us great tunes that lasts forever.

The touring production of this musical is still highly successful and fun to watch. taken in Frankfurt, Germany by @randy1976ffm
