2006 — twenty years ago, I was lost.

I was deep in addiction, struggling with wounds I didn’t even realize were there. Reaching for substances and surface-level connections, trying to fill a void with all the wrong things.

That was also the year I agreed to do a reality TV show, at a time when I didn’t yet know how to trust my own voice.

Health wasn’t on my radar. I was eating terribly. Life felt completely overwhelming. No connection between body and mind. Exercise wasn’t a tool for clarity or regulation — I could barely string a few days of consistent exercise together.

Connection to my Spirt? Even though it was there guiding me ever so gently, I felt completely disconnected from it.

And then my father passed away.

For a long time, I cringed looking at these photos. I had so much judgment about myself back then, pained at even looking back at the photos knowing how I felt inside. I now see something different, and I can not only look, but share without judgement.

That version of me was doing the best he could with what he knew at the time.

Every choice. Every misstep. Every attempt to cope.

They all played a role in getting me here.

So if you’re looking back at your own past with regret…
if you wish you could erase certain chapters…

Remember this:

You don’t have to reject who you were to become who you are.

Your experiences mold and shape the directions and paths you take in life.

Everyone I have met, the countless people I have coached, everyone has a story and catalysts that lead them to where they need to go.

A lot can change in 20 years.
Or 10.
Or 5.
Even 1.

Wherever you are right now — it’s not too late. I promise you.

And every part of your story belongs.

Randy 🙏🏼

If you’re open to it, take a moment to think back to who you were 5, 10, or even 20 years ago.

What was that version of you really trying to get right?

No shame. Just reflection.

Give them a little credit.

You made it this far, and your whole story belongs.

You made it to the end, so here’s a little more about me, the stuff that doesn’t always make it into a bio, but matters to who I am and how I show up.

✨ I’m deeply spiritual. I believe in intuition, energy, and that there’s more going on beneath the surface than we can see. Meditation keeps me grounded, and I’m always paying attention to the quiet moments where clarity tends to show up.

🥑 I’m a real foodie. I love cooking meals that actually nourish you — food that supports your body and leaves you feeling better, not heavier. It’s one of the ways I slow down and take care of myself.

💫 I’m an empath. I feel things deeply and often pick up on what’s being felt before it’s said. It’s a gift in coaching… and also why I can’t make it through an uplifting commercial without getting misty-eyed.

🔮 I trust my intuition. It guides my work, my decisions, and honestly, a lot of everyday moments. I’ve learned that when I listen to it, things tend to flow with a lot more ease.

📖 And yes, I’m currently writing my second book. Still unfolding, but it’s coming from a very real and lived place. More to share soon.

Enough about me, I’d love to hear about you.

Drop a comment and share one or two things that make you uniquely you. I’m genuinely curious.

Thank you for being here.

Who’s been writing the story in your head?

Because sometimes that voice saying you can’t do this, you’re not ready, this isn’t for you… isn’t even yours.

It came from somewhere, someone, an experience you had years ago.

And somehow it got a pen.

Your inner dialogue becomes pretty powerful when you keep repeating it.

So if the story you’re telling yourself is keeping you small, you’re allowed to fire the writer.

Pick up the pen.

What do you want the next chapter to sound like?

Save this for the next time your old story starts getting loud. ❤️ taken in Portland, Oregon by @randyspelling

I mean… it’s not even Christmas time. 😂🎅
But apparently I’ve reached the point where I’m just doing whatever feels festive.

Anyone else? Or have I completely lost it? taken in Portland, Oregon by @randyspelling

How do you know when you’ve left yourself?

For me, I can usually feel it.

I’m more in my head.
I’m moving faster.
Everything feels a little louder than it needs to.

Grounding is one of the ways I come back.

Sometimes that means getting outside. Taking a few slow breaths. Feeling my feet on the ground. Closing my eyes for a minute and letting myself be still.

Simple things that help me get out of my head and back into myself.

So I want to know:

What’s one thing that helps bring you back to yourself?

Okay, try something with me.

Look up from your phone for a second.

What’s around you?

Who’s around you?

What’s happening in your life right now that you barely even notice anymore because it’s just… there?

Stay with that for a second.

Sometimes the reminder is that simple.

Send this to someone you never want to stop noticing 🙏🏼 taken in Portland, Oregon by @randyspelling

When remembering my father, many people remember the big things he did.

The TV shows. The success. All the stories he put into the world.

But for me, while that was great and amazing, it was the everyday simple acts that were so impactful.

Someone can leave an enormous mark on the world.

And, as their child, it was the little things.

A comforting phrase, a simple note saying “I’m proud of you” or “I love you”

I think one of the biggest things I got from him was his creativity. He trusted it. He followed an idea and brought it to life.

Now it’s my turn to follow my creativity and bring it to life in whatever way that is.

I’m thankful to both my parents for being so creative, making a big impact and showing how to bring both to life.

As the newer generation, we get the opportunity to take all the pieces of our parents and figure out which ones to fit in and which ones to update to make our own unique puzzle and impact.

Grateful for the puzzle that was created before me and that I get the opportunity to create my own puzzle ❤️

One thing I really want my kids to grow up with is a good relationship with food.

Enjoy it.
Eat the good stuff.
Notice how different foods make you feel.
Nothing too complicated.

Over the summer break, Hundy ended up on pretty high rotation in our house.

It’s real fruit with no added sugar, so it’s one of those easy things I feel good about having around.

There’s Pineapple, the new Berry flavor, but I’m still a Mango guy. 🥭

So getting to work with Hundy feels pretty natural.

And yes… the new bag opens without scissors now. Apparently these are the things that excite me these days. 🫢

Have you tried one yet?

It’s usually the little things, isn’t it?

The early mornings. The school runs. Work. Making dinner. The people you see so often you barely think twice about them being there.

A conversation. A laugh. Sitting around the table.

It can all start to feel so normal.

But every once in a while, I challenge you to stop and really look around.

Because some of what feels ordinary today is the stuff you’re going to look back on and realize was actually pretty special.

This is your life happening right now.

Endings can feel pretty final when you’re standing in the middle of one.

A relationship. A job. A season of your life. Even an old version of yourself.

But there’s this strange little space where something is ending and you can’t quite see what’s beginning yet.

That space can be uncomfortable.

It can also be where something new starts finding its way in.

So if something is ending for you right now, give yourself a little room.

You might not be losing your way.

You might be making room for what’s next.

And if you’re wondering who you are on the other side of all of this… that’s exactly the space we explore in Introducing You 2.0, a 14 day virtual experience.

Getting curious about who you’re becoming.
