POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's been a LONG time since i went out with the pure intention of exploration and discovery playing with photography as a form of expression.

The recent snowfall and bitter cold almost led me to cancel plans with @hometownsh00ter , but i'm so glad I didn't.

The mood of these edits didn't fully occur to me until i pulled the shots open in lightroom. I don't usually push my photos this far into moody colour-grade territory, but the icy ominous vibe just felt right.

It's easy to avoid getting your camera wet, staying in the comfortable warmth of the great indoors, but it's really interesting what you'll find with an open mind in a harsh environment. The same scenes on a warm summer day would tell a drastically different story.

For the past few years, i've only pulled my camera out for client work, and i almost forgot how to summon the artistry of photography without the need for a specific outcome.

Our cameras survived, and I got some nice photos that may eventually make it into frames on my wall. Most importantly, we shared stories, laughs, and had fun on a frosty local adventure.

Stefano was shooting on film, and i'm stoked to see his pics once they develop.

Little edit I put together 🎥⛷️ Jon Does on YouTube.
Had no idea what I was getting into at the heart of Mississauga. @apikfest, a completely free ski and snowboard competition anyone could watch was a blast! They even build a rail session in the middle of Celebration Square. The place was jammed - filled with vendors, music and good energy. Met up with Ranen, a Pro FPV drone operator who smashed it during their session.
They say the worst weather makes the best shots…
