Got a new green linen tunic and herringbone winingas! So had to put the kit together. Need to work on how to wrap my legs and different boots! Nice to have a few different options to change things up as needed. It was definitely hot out though! Tried to do a quick cheap project lol
I’ve had this either plastic or fiberglass bow for years. My grandpa found it sitting on the side of the road for trash pickup. It’s a low poundage now so should be perfect for larp arrows. I picked up some wood grain vinyl strips and leather grip tape and tried to cover it up. Make it more realistic. Didn’t go as planned but not terrible. The vinyl isn’t as matte as I thought it would be. And a lot of bubbles popped up. Toning to try and pop those and maybe a hair dryer to form it a bit better.

Trying my gear out all together for the first time!
Definitely needs tweaking mainly the cloak. But not to shabby. Vest and gambeson sleeves are @burgschneider DnD call to arms ranger gear and the tan shirt is a hemp Burgschneider shirt. Viking pants from amazon. Gauntlets are gardening gloves. Hood is @shire_craft linen hood. Cloak is Amazon linen shawl. Weapons are Amazon foam and the knife stuffed in the belt is the coreless ranger knife from @epicarmoury. Brown tunic is a canvas tunic from @medievalcollectibles boots are Justin work boots I had lying around lol my bow is a Indian archery Seneca 35-40# #fantasy #lordoftherings #dunedain #rangersofithilien by @ranger_blackbeard

Zakarija O’Cathain (Blackbeard)

Blackbeard grew up outside of the usual norms. His father was a trapper and huntsman and his mother helped and took care of the cabin they lived in. So they spent months living away from civilization collecting furs and surviving.
So Blackbeard is well versed in all the outdoor skills associated with being a hunter. But when he got older and his parents older still they had to make the decision to move into the village due to not being able to keep up the lifestyle. So Zak became a village guard. He learned to use multiple weapons adding on to what he already knew. He spent many years doing his job along with being a huntsman for the village. But once his parents passed away he was ready to move on and experience the world. by @ranger_blackbeard

When out patrolling as a Ranger, you must be prepared for anything. Just a simple day patrol can turn into a week long hunt for a problem bear or fighting a bandit camp. by @ranger_blackbeard
