Caught.
Between your fingers,
A thought turning gold,
from a strawberry ripened summer,
becoming,
A second,
on your clock-it watch,
Hesitating, trembling,
within your grasp,
butterfly wings,
rippling to become,
circles and rings of trees,
gathering sentinels,
to watch you think,
on an act of infinity,
questioning authority,
before slipping,
back into a careful cadence,
of one hand exchanging,
seasons for another. by @rangerrains

Palm To Pines To Idyllwyld. Much needed excursion into the woods. Hugged a boulder. Good day. Trip was inspired by the Heart Roasters Phono Blend which reminded me of hot summers in the Sierra Nevada. #idyllwild #hugaboulder taken in Palm Springs, California by @rangerrains

This last trip up north was the first time I drove through the stretch of redwoods between Albion and Cloverdale instead of experiencing it as a passenger terrified of over stimulation attacks, which had plagued all, ALL of the years past. Instead of a moment to endure and survive, as the driver, the woods unfolded in front of me in a cinematic exposition of light and shadow, and became in memory one of the more memorable drives of my life. I chose a different aspect ratio to represent the view from the windshield of the Jeep Wrangler we had rented. #redwoods #jeepwranglers by @rangerrains

Enjoy the latest collection of artworks inspired by my time at Ten Mile Beach in Fort Bragg, CA. This year artworks were by the incredible gray whale sightings at sunset at our first night there, as well as my morning walks to the tidepools. #midnightmandala #mendocino #tidepooling #artwalk by @rangerrains

Design Challenge: Spend an hour soaking in the vibes of the Queer Arcana exhibit @psartmuseum and design a Tarot card based on the Righter-Waite structure. I spent time time in front of Hilda’s Ghost- and drawing upon the geometric imagery designed The Lovers. The Rainbow moving from inward to outward was intentional, everything else was discovery. #tarot #queerarcana #thelovers taken in Palm Springs, California by @rangerrains

In My Garden: Artworks and Meditations. A collection of my garden and residency themed Mandalas from the various places I visited this last year. The video features an original composition “At The Huntington.” I’m loving the color palettes and the ideas that float between quirky and enchanting. Captured here are rain events, trips to different gardens, national parks, and my ideas on visiting Mars. Enjoy! #midnightmandala #tikiart #inmygarden taken in Palm Springs, California by @rangerrains

Had another amazing vacation week in Fort Bragg, CA! Celebrating my parents 58 wedding anniversary, hanging out with family, tidepooling, playing the ukulele, eating ginger molasses cookies, and taking long walks on the beach. #mendocino taken in Ten Mile Beach by @rangerrains
