If you know anything about me, it’s that I love Rangers. It’s the first class in DnD I ever played and it’s my tried and true favorite. So when I started watching Critical Role and met Vex’ahlia, it was love at first sight! For my first Dragoncon ever, I knew I had to cosplay her. I grabbed bedsheets, tablecloths, and coaster and cobbled together my first Vex’ahlia cosplay. Little did I know the effect that cosplay would have on me. Vex has all the qualities I feel I lack and becoming her for a day was a shot of confidence. I felt empowered. I always say I’m much more of a Keyleth in real life, but every day I try to own myself and be more confident like my favorite ranger. So please enjoy the most ranger-y photo I have ever taken. I wish the insta crop wasn’t so horrendous because the details in this make my heart so happy. These antler’s were patterned by @kat.birdy and printed by @jeradagazwares and @katgeocosplay. When I told Katie and Jera print these “as big as you can”, I didn’t consider how I would get them airborne. But I did it with some bolts, a headband, and some two part epoxy! 🤣 I am in love with these antlers, they truly always make a statement. Oh goodness! Isn’t little Detective Jester just the cutest? This cosplay would not have existed without the inspiration of @playitagainsami Her Detective Jester is so adorable and she even graciously told me to steal the idea for the magnifying glass/lollipop prop! This was a fun little cosplay to wear but I absolutely chose the wrong fabric for this fit.
