In true adhd form im late to post this. But here is the 2nd episode of my thrifted and new series. Im a believer of the saying “better late than never” so I hope you enjoy!

This thrifted jacket has been apart of my wardrobe for 10+ years, a true statement piece that can be styled in so many ways.

When my sister found it, I was in my twenties and lacked the confidence to wear it out. So it has hung pretty in my wardrobe for so long, knowing one day I would wear it!

That’s what slow fashion can look like, keeping your clothes for a long time, purchasing thrifted when possible, if purchasing new try to choose quality and natural fabrics.

These little steps go along way to caring for our planet and for our children’s future.

I really enjoyed styling the gorgeous Lani dress in fuchsia by @shestreetofficial #gifted

Im not usually a bright colour person but I enjoyed the challenge of styling this piece and decided to pair with khaki green elements to soften the look and add an element of my favourite colour!

I absolutely adore how flowy and whimsy this dress is, perfect for layering in the cold Melbourne winter but obviously great for summer too!

I am so lucky to have been gifted all 3 colour ways. Wait and see my styling for the other two colours.

I have been living in these overalls I purchased in Fitzroy at vintage sole! Styling them with my super cute crochet top that my sister handmade!

Experimenting with my favourite autumnal colours is breathing new life into my soul! It made me want to encourage you to do the same, play around wearing more of what brings you joy and less of what you think others like. So here’s the thing, I’ve actually been realising the reason I had such a big break from social media Is because I didn’t want to be perceived. So much growth has happened in the past 4 years and I just didn’t know how to be my self on here.

But then I realised showing up on social media more has actually been apart of my journey to rediscover my self as a mother and as a neurodivergent person.

One of the things I’ve rediscovered is my love of vintage fashion, thrifting/op shopping, styling and fashion photography. It just gives me so much joy!

So here’s your reminder to show up as you are, the world needs your passions, your story’s, your joy and it needs your light because there’s more than enough darkness in the world.

This outfit is all thrifted. The vintage jacket has been in my wardrobe for 10+ years, paired with a cute $4 op shop hat, black woollen blend skirt, lace singlet and vest! 🥰

Grwm! To my fellow Mothers out there, if you are struggling with your style/body image right now I can relate.

Coming up to Mother’s Day I’ve been thinking about my beautiful mama (who is no longer with us) and also it has me thinking about my own journey of motherhood. Particularly around self expression, taking up space, embracing my curves and learning to love my body.

My style really became very minimal and low effort in those early years. Fast forward to now and I am so excited to be experimenting and building my confidence through my thrifted clothes and embracing slow fashion.
