Gaul Plus - Hissing Nest [+FILE003]

We're extremely proud to present a career-shifting release by the Brooklyn-based, global spirit known lovingly as Gaul Plus. Following up the rugged immediacy of his 2022 EP "Soiled Ether", he finds new depth within his jagged, tectonic arrangements on "Hissing Nest", with stunning vocal features and rusted palettes that mature and enrich with each listen.

Order the limited vinyl edition now on our Bandcamp! All orders will be going out next week. Thank you 🖤

Available through @readymadedistribution in Europe.

RF003: Trailcam

Formerly (and lovingly) known as E-Saggila, Trailcam is the new moniker of Toronto-based Rita Mikhael. The project made its debut back in May at Tresor during a @northernelectronics night, the Swedish label which also released her latest EP "Drumlin Loop". She makes a slight shift away from the slightly harsher, club-driven sounds of E-Saggila and hones in on a slower, dubbed-out approach to techno with idiosyncracies that still feels distinctly her own. She makes her American debut tomorrow night with us, ahead of a string of gigs both stateside and abroad.

RF003: Pessimist

In his first stateside appearance since 2022, @pessimistmusic returns to NYC for a two hour, cutthroat/knives-out DJ set at the evening's peak. A star fixture of some of the most influential labels of the 2010's, namely Blackest Ever Black, Berceuse Heroique, and Ilian Tapes, the Bristol-based artist continues his reign into the current decade with a run of records that are as dark and forboding as ever. He comes to us ahead of some thrilling upcoming releases–hopefully we're lucky to hear some teasers. This one, as always, is an unmissable affair.

RF003: Touriszt [Live]

Berlin-based artist Touriszt joins us on Saturday for an arresting intermission between Act II and Act III, a chilling interlude to both recenter and further complicate the dancefloor. Touriszt's work is an exercise in imaginative cinema, soundtracks for burning memories; sounds that are both infinitely expansive and uncomfortably intimate, like a whisper in your ear from another dimension. Though brief, his live sets leave an unforgettable impression on his audiences, and Saturday night will be no different.

RF003: Drumloop [Live]

Saturday evening commences with a searing live performance from Drumloop, a key fixture of New York's experimental scene. For anyone that has caught one of her recent sets, either solo or in her fabulous collaborations with Theia or The Rita, they can attest to her uniquely poignant balance between deep visceral drone and a windswept sense of longing that cuts through to the gut. We're blessed to have her setting the tone for this extremely special night. Arrive early!

RF002: DJ Richard + Isabella Koen

Isabella and DJ Richard need little introduction around here. Having destroyed Nausea 10 last summer, and with a follow up b2b at Herrensauna in the winter, they remain a top-tier favorite in New York while they hold it down up in Providence. They'll close out the night with a boisterous b2b that's sure to leave every last straggler dripped in sweat.

RF002: Comfort

@neutral.cloud co-founder and sinister selector, Comfort, joins us this Friday to deliver a proper serenade in the first half of the evening. Always somewhere between soothing and scathing, delight and devastation, @ladydownfall's DJ sets are as engaging as they are evocative and haunting. Swipe to hear some previews of her sound.

RF002: Hesaitix [Live]

We're thrilled to prezent Hesaitix for the second iteration of our live series. Formerly known as M.E.S.H., the London-based artist returns to New York fresh off the heels of his debut record under his new Hesaitix moniker, "Noctian Airgap". He's prepared a special live set that ties together the stygian-celestial worlds of the album and transmutes them for the dancefloor. We couldn't be more excited!
