POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When watching Hocus Pocus time we noticed a very small detail…one that when seen, cannot be unseen! We absolutely had to draw attention to this hypnotic nose drip that appears to make its way in and out of our boy Binx’s beak repeatedly.

Our Halloween Special covering Hocus Pocus is out on all pod-players tomorrow. It’s a firm fan favourite for many so it was a blast working on this one. 🎃👻 #hocuspocus #thackerybinx #halloweenspecial #halloweenmovie #rottenmovies

We’re back for this year’s Halloween SPOOKTACULAAAAAAR! It’s been some time so we thought it would be fun to come back with a biggy! Full of trick or treating, pumpkins, witches, magic spells and a talking black cat…it’s 1993’s Hocus Pocus. It’ll be on all podcast players this Friday, 16th October. 🎃 #halloweenpodcast #rottentomatoes #hocuspocus #scottishpodcast #halloween

It’s finally time for the 13 Movies of Halloween Advent Calendar to start. Cat has been away up until last night so we’re not wasting any time in opening up door number 1 later today. Cat will open all 13 doors throughout the month, culminating in door 13 on Halloween Night. 🎃

There is also a list of 10 extra movies attached in case we want to watch more than the 13, which is highly likely. This list can be chosen from wherever we feel like it. All 23 (well, 24 if you include 1 DOUBLE FEATURE) movies are very much a mix of horror, comedy, family friendly and just plain cosy movies. Some of which we’ve never seen! Also, no, the movies are not all rotten. 🍅

If you want to see which movies are behind these doors, we will share the opening of each door on our stories so keep an eye on those. Happy Spooktober! 👻🎃🧙🏻‍♀️🧛🏻‍♂️

THIS JUST IN! OK, so we actually just wanted to keep you updated on what’s happening with the podcast. We haven’t been able to work on Rank Rotten recently due to a few more commitments, and health challenges. We are hoping that we will still bring out the two seasonal episodes this year, Halloween and Christmas. But, we’ll see.

Keep your eyes on the social media of your choosing, we currently use Instagram (which we focus most of our efforts on), TikTok, Facebook, Blue Sky and Threads. If a new episode is coming, we’ll let you know in these places.

And now; here is Anita Breeze with the weather, spoiler it’s probably STILL hot and sweaty wherever you are. #rottentomatoes #rankrotten #moviespodcast #🍅 by @rankrottenpod

We eventually got to Helsinki in Finland earlier this month after some delays, and we did make it to the Kamppi Chapel of Silence (as mentioned on the last episode). We’re pleased to announce Mikey was able to remain quiet, no one was booted out, a happy time was had by all. It’s that huge wooden structure you can see in the background of the second pic.

We also can’t recommend visiting Finland enough, Helsinki alone is beautiful and amazing, and there is so much more to see. 🇫🇮

We’d also just like to mention that we are aiming for only two more episodes this year, as things have been a little mad in terms of health and also professional ventures. As such, we’re hoping to still bring you a Halloween and a Christmas episode later this year. It sucks, we wanted to make more but at the moment we’re just not able to. Thanks for understanding that. 🍅 #kamppichapel #helsinki #finland #shutitmikey #shh taken in Kampin kappeli by @rankrottenpod

Here is the slideshow for our May episode on Saving Silverman, all of which are things we chat about in the episode. The first two are the lads in their Diamonds in the Rough (Neil Diamond tribute band) get up. The third is Sandy’s brother the dog faced boy from the circus. The fourth image is Jack Black as JD in his ‘Goofy cosplay’ during the kidnapping scene. The last one is JD’s intense face during his ‘squirrel killer’ line. #savingsilverman #jackblack #jasonbiggs #neildiamond #rottentomatoes taken in Washington State by @rankrottenpod

This month we have a listener request, 2001’s bonkers goofball comedy; ‘Saving Silverman’, or as many may know it ‘Evil Woman’. Get ready for a lot of COMINONYEAHAAAAs, Neil Diamond action, and medieval women?!

We really had a laugh with this one, so we hope you enjoy it! If you want to reach out to us please do on any of our socials or email us at rankrottenpod@gmail.com. #savingsilverman #rottentomatoes #jackblack #jasonbiggs #stevezahn

This Friday our April episode comes out (nearly in April), and we’re talking CRITTERS, on its 40th Anniversary no less! Was this 1986 comedy horror sci-fi a rip of a certain little green monster movie, or was it, I don’t know…potentially written before that?! In any case this movie now sort of stands on its own as an absolute cult classic. Join us to hear our chat about shape shifting bounty hunters, space poison and channel THE POWER OF THE NIGHT (you’ll see what we mean). 🍅🫟 #critters #powerofthenight #80scinema #newlinecinema #moviepodcast taken in Kansas by @rankrottenpod

Had a great Friday night recording the latest episode which is a 40th Anniversary celebration of Critters! Aye, I know, it’s 40, WTF?! We could get used to this whole Friday night recording session thing. Hopefully the April episode will be out on 1st May…so nearly in April. 😅 #critters #1986 #rottentomatoes #scottishpodcast #creaturefeature taken in Kansas by @rankrottenpod

SURPRISE, We’re back! With one of the most polarising movies of the last year; A Minecraft Movie. Expect meme humour, lots of internet culture and Jack Black turned up to 11! Is this all too much for some people and why do some people simply LOVE it? It was a huge movie regardless of critical reception which took the world by storm for its music, humour and references. Whilst others saw it as ‘brain rot’ and ‘damaging’ *eye roll*. We’ll also talk about the story of Minecraft and how it came to be, chat about video games and sing…a lot. Warning though, there is A LOT of friggin singing…😬.

We had a lot to talk about, so enjoy and have a wonderful Easter weekend. ⛏️🎮 #aminecraftmovie #Minecraft #scottishpodcast #lavachicken #iamsteve
