We're looking forward to Day 2 of Agfest West Coast and all the excitement still to come!

One of today's highlights will be our Live Auction, where you'll have the chance to bid on some fantastic items while helping make a real difference for West Coast families travelling to Christchurch for life-saving medical treatment.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we also have an amazing raffle and Silent Auction packed with fantastic prizes and unique items up for grabs.

🎟️ This year's AgFest Raffle includes:

🌟 Lake Brunner Eco Lodge - Hosted overnight stay for two, including dinner, breakfast, pre-dinner platter, drink and glow worm tour. Valued at $999.

🧥 Agtrailer - Agtrailer merch box featuring a Swanndri Bush Shirt, singlets and hats. Valued at $450.

🎯 Wild Outdoorsman - Voucher valued at $250.

🍺 Huski - Two Huski Tumbler 2.0s and two Huski Beer Cooler 2.0s. Valued at $160.

🌳 West Coast Treetop Walk, Cafe & Tower Zipline - Family walk voucher for two adults and two children. Valued at $105.

Tickets are just $10 each or five for $40, with only 1,000 tickets available.

Our Silent Auction also features a fantastic range of generously donated items, from beautiful hampers and premium local products to garden treasures and much more.

The day has arrived, and the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust team is excited to be back with the West Coast community at AgFest. 🧡💙🚜

Come and find us at the Rānui gazebo beside the Village Green! We've got fantastic Silent Auction items, raffle tickets available, and plenty of opportunities to support families when they need it most.

We're also looking forward to catching up with familiar faces, meeting new friends, and hearing your Rānui stories. Whether you've stayed with us, supported us over the years, volunteered, donated, or simply want to learn more about what we do, we'd love to stop for a chat.

We’re delighted to be returning as AgFest's official charity partner and we can’t wait to reconnect with the incredible West Coast community! The West Coast holds a special place in our hearts, with more than 20% of the families staying at Rānui House and Apartments calling the region home.

There’s plenty happening at our Rānui gazebo this year including an exciting live auction, our first-ever AgFest raffle and a fantastic silent auction, all helping us support families travelling to Christchurch for vital medical treatment.

We're looking for groups of volunteers to host a dinner for the families at Rānui House. More than just a meal, these gatherings bring people together, spark conversations, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved. 🙌🫶

With full access to our fantastic kitchen in Big Rānui, you'll have the freedom to create your own menu and make the experience uniquely yours. Whether you're a workplace team, community group, or gathering of friends, your support will make a real difference to the Rānui whānau.

West Coast community, we need your help at AgFest this year! 💪

We're looking for a few more teams to sign up for the AgFest Tug O' War Competition on Saturday 17 October.

A crowd favourite every year, the Tug O' War combines strength, strategy and plenty of friendly competition as teams battle it out for the coveted Tug O' War Trophy and ultimate bragging rights.

Team requirements:
✅ Up to 5 competitors per team
✅ Minimum of 2 women must participate in every round

When their families needed support the most, the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust was there. Now, Joe and Lloyd are giving back. ❤️❤️

After turning to Rānui House while loved ones underwent emergency medical care and cancer treatment, Joe and Lloyd experienced the difference having a home-away-from-home can make. The support they received during this time has inspired them to give back.

Now they're aiming to raise $42,000 to help ensure more families have the same support when they travel to Christchurch for medical treatment.

Families staying at Rānui are often far from home and facing a challenging time. Right now, our freezer shelves are looking a little bare and we'd love some help filling them with homemade treats.

We're looking for volunteer bakers to spend a few hours in the Rānui House kitchen making cookies, slices, loaves, muffins or cakes for the families staying with us.

We'll provide the ingredients and equipment. You bring the time and baking expertise.

When Hokitika local Greg suffered a heart attack and kidney failure, he suddenly found himself facing treatment in Christchurch and wondering where he'd stay.

Nearly three years later, Rānui Apartments have become his home away from home, providing more than 500 nights of accommodation while he receives the specialist care he needs.

"I was stressed in hospital wondering where I was going to stay. But once I got here and saw what they do, I was very appreciative."

For Greg, it's been about more than a place to stay.

"They look after you, always check in on you, and make life as easy as possible."

Stories like Greg's are why Rānui House and Apartments exist, helping people access lifesaving treatment while staying connected to a caring community.

So far this year 160 families from Marlborough have found a home-away-from-home at Rānui House & Rānui Apartments while travelling to Christchurch for vital medical treatment.

Behind every stay is a family navigating one of life's toughest journeys. Thanks to the grant from Redwood Trust, we can help ease the burden of accommodation costs allowing families to focus on what matters most - treatment, recovery and being together.

Check Mike out! ⛷️🏔

A few months ago, Mike set himself an incredible challenge: to ski 90,000 vertical metres at @mthuttnz this season while raising $58,140 for Bone Marrow Cancer Trust. Since day one, he's shown no signs of slowing down.

Mike has already clocked more than 62,000 vertical metres and thanks to the support of his generous donors, has raised an amazing $27,000. What an absolute legend! 🙌🙌

With just a few weeks left in the ski season, Mike is determined to make every run count. He'll be spending as much time as possible on the slopes, chasing those final metres and sharing his personal Rānui journey along the way.
