Cassis was NOT on the itinerary 😂

We were supposed to spend three more days in Provence when my cousin casually said, “We’re taking the train to Cassis tomorrow to be on the ocean.”

I looked at her photos and my mouth literally hung open.

So naturally, we cancelled basically all our plans and decided to go with them.

12 hours later we were on a train to Cassis, checking into an Airbnb ON THE WATER overlooking the marina. Like… what?! 😂

I love being married to a spontaneous man. There’s something so fun about saying, “Should we just go?” and having a husband who says, “Absolutely.”

We took a boat out to the Calanques with every other tourist in France and were OBSESSED with the glass clear Mediterranean water… while also being completely furious that we weren’t allowed to jump in.

Then we found out you could rent a little dinghy and take it out on your own.

So obviously we immediately went back out. 😂

Three hours later we were driving our little boat around the Mediterranean, jumping off into the bluest, clearest water, finding little coves and basically living our best French life.

It was INSANE.

Cassis wasn’t planned. We almost didn’t go.

And it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the entire trip.

Paris, you have our hearts. 🤍

We tried our best to blend in like Parisians… but let’s be honest, picking up French did not come easily to any of us.😑

We watched Midnight in Paris on the train into the city, and somewhere between the movie, the first glimpse of Paris, and the romance of it all, we completely fell in love.

One of my favorite memories was Taylor and I sneaking out of the hotel late at night, just the two of us, wandering down the streets to a little café below our room and giggling like teenagers. It was one of those moments where we looked at each other and thought, “Okay… we definitely need to come back here alone.”

Because as much as we loved experiencing Paris with our kids, we also realized just how different this city would feel with no kids, no schedule, and nowhere we have to be.

So Taylor, I’m already thinking about our 15th anniversary in two years… 🇫🇷

London wanted to make an “outfits in Paris” reel, so here we are 😂

Except… I wore basically the same thing over and over again. Apparently my Parisian wardrobe consisted of neutral colors and a very limited imagination. I kept thinking, “Okay, this is put together enough,” and then just wore it again the next day.

I feel like influencers make these reels look so effortless and chic, and I’m over here just trying my best. 😂

Provence, you were something special.

One of the biggest gifts of this trip was getting to experience it through my Uncle Marco, who is an incredible painter and knows so much about Van Gogh and the places that inspired his work. He walked us through the streets, the landscapes, the history and all the little details I would have completely missed on my own. Getting to see these places through his eyes made it so much more meaningful.

But honestly, my favorite part was getting to be there with so many of my favorite people, especially my dad, who I don’t get to see nearly enough. There’s something so special about being somewhere beautiful and getting to share it with the people you love.

The art, the little villages, the food, the scenery and all the memories in between… Provence will always hold a really special place in my heart.

What’s the best part of our trip to France? 🇫🇷

Watching these two psychos be best buddies.

Was there fighting? Yes.
Did I lose it on them every single day? Absolutely. 😂 (let’s keep it honest people)

But there were also so many moments of them actually bonding, laughing, exploring, and just being best friends. And honestly, watching that happen in a place like France was probably one of my favorite parts of the whole trip.

This is what traveling does. It bonds you as a family as you make memories together that will last a lifetime.

We just came back from 2 weeks in France, and I already know I’m going to want to relive this trip for the rest of my life.

This part of the trip was in Provence, and we completely fell in love with it. It’s where my Uncle Marco @marcobronzini grew up, who helped raise me when I was little, so getting to be there with him was incredibly special. He told us everything about the history of the land and we saw all the spots Van Gough painted his famous paintings. As he is an incredible art teacher, we really hit the travel guide lottery.

What was also magical was being with my dad and all of his siblings @nailabronzini @scratchgolfacademy @avroshack2 and uncle Mark, listening to them tell stories and laugh out “arses” off.

There was just something about knowing that so many people we love were all going to be in the same place at the same time, in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We couldn’t say no to this trip.

There were so many moments where I looked around and thought, “I really want to remember this forever.”

These are the precious memories that may never happen exactly like this again, and I’m so grateful we got to experience them.

So here comes France… probably way too many posts, but I don’t care. I want to remember it all. 🤍
