Cable management is life

The worst part is looking back at this and thinking I could’ve tucked them in a bit better… Send help! 😂

Whoa! I’m excited to announce that, as of today, I am now a voting member of The Recording Academy @grammys!

What does that mean exactly? It means I was recommended and evaluated by my peers in the industry to be deemed worthy of having influence in the future of music by giving me the ability to submit as well as vote for who wins a Grammy Award each year 🏆

I am hoping that my voice and contributions can move the needle in the right direction for better representation in the alternative rock and metal genres.🤘🏼

I want to thank @mynameislamps for motivating me to pursue this as well as my dear friend @mountclear_productions for always putting in a good word for me!

Scoring the end of the world

@heavyocity has done it again with the release of their latest instrument—Dystropia.

This library, filled with sounds of dread and desolation, takes us to a place where time has run out.

You’re listening to a piece written while exploring this barren place for the first time. All sounds coming exclusively from Dystropia.

@tatemcrae greedy, alt rock? 🥁

My wife loves Tate so I figured I’d take a stab at her summer hit.

Do you think Tate needs more live drums and guitars on her records?

Sound the alarm 🚨

@heavyocity one of my most favorite VI developers released a new library last week, titled Oblivion. This is what came about my first exploration of the library.

The lead synth was quite literally the first sound that came out of the speakers when I laid my hands on the keys. I immediately fell in love with it and spread it across the piano roll so I could play the line. The delay repeats are bit-crushed which adds an interesting complexity to the sound, all done within the engine.

The rest of the sounds came just as easily. I kept going through the different menus, finding gems left and right and laying them down. By the end of this short track I had only just gotten halfway across what this library has to offer.

Needless to say, a lot of patches are ending up in my template!

Thanks Heavyocity and @davidlevymusic for an incredible release!

All visual elements besides the DAW and GUI screen capture come from the Oblivion official trailer.
