The journey isn't always clear, but hey, let's keep walking! If you can't walk, run, or crawl, keep moving and don't stop! #thelight ✨️ by @raphaelyn_the_light

In 2016, I was sitting in a field in Delaware watching the fireworks as an exchange student. Exactly a decade later, I’m sitting on the beach watching the very same sky. 🎆 Happy Independence Day, America! 🇺🇸 by @raphaelyn_the_light

Sometimes life really does feel this good.

Finding your purpose in life is hard, but what is even harder from my experience is actually living it.

Along the way, you realize that some people you believed would be a perfect fit to journey on with you were just reflections of your own imagination. In living a purposeful life, people will come and go. Places you once cherished won't hold the same meaning anymore.

Life is reality, and sometimes the reality we expect doesn't happen. The hardest pill to swallow is realizing that environments change and relationships evolve. But determination outweighs expectation.

If there is one thing I am absolutely certain of, it is this: I will never stop pursuing my purpose, even if it costs me my comfort, my old blueprints, or walking into the next chapter with a smaller circle but a stronger spirit.

To anyone else navigating the quiet, lonely seasons of growth: keep going. The journey changes you, but the destination is worth the evolution. ✨

Yesterday, harassment and abuse of the lady in Redlight triggered one of my many fears about walking the streets of Liberia, especially through ELWA Junction, Waterside, and Redlight. Men feel far too comfortable harassing women daily. Out of nowhere, a stranger will wrap a hand around your waist or shoulders, or try to grab your hand. Nothing is more infuriating than the disrespect that follows when you refuse to 'play along.' If you set a boundary, the insults start, 'You think you're better than anyone?' or 'You think you’re so fine?' This harassment has instilled a deep fear in me, making it feel impossible to walk freely in my own city. We need collective action to protect women and girls. Our bodies, our rights! #womenarenotprotected by @raphaelyn_the_light
