Below (2026) 🌊

This was a really good limited series and is definitely worth watching! The mysterious sea creature, the unsettling events, and the secrets buried in a remote Newfoundland fishing community make for an intriguing story.

I especially enjoyed how the mystery ties into Calvin Penney’s family history and the fight to protect his community and way of life. If you enjoy suspense, mystery, and creature features with a small-town atmosphere, I recommend giving this one a watch!

Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem: A Life Marked by Survival, and a Tragic Final Chapter

The tragic death of 42-year-old Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem has left many people shocked and saddened. On October 12, 2026, Hassan died after being ejected from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

What makes this story even more heartbreaking is what has emerged about Hassan's life before this tragedy. According to reports from a family friend, Hassan was a cancer survivor who had also battled COVID-19. Just weeks before the roller-coaster accident, he and his daughter reportedly survived a vehicle fire.

When you consider everything this man had reportedly endured and survived, it naturally raises a profound question, How many times can a person come close to death and survive, only to lose their life in an unexpected tragedy?

His experiences may lead some people to wonder whether Hassan ever had what is known as a near-death experience (NDE). However, surviving life-threatening circumstances is not the same as having a documented NDE, and I have not found verified reports that Hassan personally described such an experience.

There is something deeply sobering about this story. Hassan had reportedly overcome significant health challenges and survived a frightening incident with his daughter, yet his life ended in a tragedy that no one could have anticipated.

Beyond the headlines, he was a father, a family member, and an educator whose life touched others. His loved ones are now left to grieve a loss that is both sudden and devastating.

May God comfort his family, strengthen his children, and bring peace to everyone mourning his passing. 🙏🏾❤️

Rest in peace, Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem. by @raphaloujo
