@rapidlyagingmusic - You're Not Yourself Lately (Full Album 2026)
https://rapidlyaging.bandcamp.com/album/youre-not-yourself-lately
Rapidly Aging's debut album "You're Not Yourself Lately". A guitar player and a songwriter for Canopy, a sludge band from Atlanta, Georgia. Rapidly Aging is the sound of my undiagnosed mental illness.

Highly influenced by bands like Mogwai, Pelican, Maudlin of the Well/Kayo Dot, Codeine, Duster, Low, Pink Floyd, Rwake, Mouth of the Architect, Neurosis, etc..

You get it. Don't you?

@rapidlyagingmusic's debut gets an in-depth review from @riffvaultmag!

"Dark, consistently, and warmer than almost anything in this genre... There is no brightness here to relieve anything, by design"

"You're Not Yourself Lately" is out now on @figonwrist

@rapidlyagingmusic's debut album "You're Not Yourself Lately" just dropped yesterday on @figonwrist, and @monumentsinruin laid down a rave review:

"The tension feels like watching water retract into the ocean before the tsunami returns with death and destruction."

| Rapidly Aging - You’re Not Yourself Lately | Fig on Wrist 004 | This is truly a special record. Few releases in that delve this deep into ambience and atmosphere have the teeth to keep a listener engaged, but Rapidly Aging knows right when to bring in a crushing riff or memorable melody line. It’s such an honor to have our label associated with this powerful release. | 24 Cassettes were pressed, 12 are available from the band and 12 are available at figonwrist.bandcamp.com (link in bio). | Grab one today for Bandcamp Friday | #postmetal #bandcampfriday #cassetteculture #metaltapes #octoberphotochallenge taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @rapidlyagingmusic

A glowing review from @w.i.l.cifer at @ghostcultmag for @rapidlyagingmusic's debut album, out tomorrow on @figonwrist!

"Howell has excelled at capturing great guitar tones that ooze with a depth of feeling...

...If Swans are the musical equivalent to a David Lynch movie, then this is more David Cronenberg. It creates open pastoral landscapes in the mind’s eye with 'The Negative Thought Loops.' It builds into the distorted chords crunching down like a threatening storm"

The album comes out tomorrow. Thanks to anyone who checked it out and had nice things to say.

I'd love to play some of these songs live one day but I don't think that's going to happen. I don't have the money to pay musicians or the gall to ask people to help out. It doesn't really matter, though. Nothing does. by @rapidlyagingmusic
