Team 301 takes first in class!

Starting out my Friday with Pit Team 2: amazing first 20 hours straight with @popo_patty , @blancobroncoadventures , @gonzo__tv , @meangreenoffroad , @broncoman6 , @elbronkito , and @durt._.reynolds. With almost zero sleep in the group we followed @pewpew_cachoo and @kjbofnm as they tore through the first 500 miles. Pit Team 1 followed close by with @txbroncbuster , @the.badsquatch, @fabianaraujo23, and @that_roush_bronco.

Saturday morning around 6:30am I jumped into the co-drivers seat to relieve Ken as the backup driver/ co-driver. My only experience so far was pre-running about 20 miles with Ken on Thursday. Thankfully he’s incredibly experienced, and his instruction was crucial to the success of the team. For the next 16 hours RJ and I battled through valleys, lake beds, huge whoops, then finally mud, rain, fog, and the running clock to get to the finish just in time.

It was a huge learning curve and the experience of a lifetime. I’m incredibly grateful to RJ for making this all come together, and extremely impressed by his determination to make it through all 36 hours driving and by his incredible driving skills in that 2-door Bronco! Thank you to our pit crews for being simply amazing and expeditious as time was running short. I look forward to the next one!

For anyone who tuned in live, @radmedia.co knocked it out of the park with the live stream! I can’t wait to relive the experience with the videos you and @luxury__lovers make!
