The Raptors went for it tonight without a majority of their rotation, but couldn’t take down the Pistons (129-125), who had their starters play half the game. Malachi Smith was the top performer for the team, with a great versatile scoring display (24 PTS, 7 REB, 3 AST). Alijah Martin showed that he’s one of the more experienced players on the team, taking charge, putting up 15 points and 2 steals. TJD had a very nice display with 23 points on 67% shooting, and so did Degenhart with 14 PTS, 4 REB, 4 AST. Burnett also contributed well with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Good 2-way performance from him, making good competition for the remaining 2-way spots. Preseason done, regular season here we come!

Scottie Barnes is shooting 55% on his 18 shot attempts from 15+ feet in preseason 🎯

11 of those 18 attempts came from 20+ feet, where he’s shooting 54.5%

Will this be the season where Scottie takes the shooting leap 🤔💭

The Kawifi effect for you, it’s been radiating through the border 📡🇨🇦🇺🇸

For all the people saying these guy aren’t championship contenders or a top 5 team in the league, look at what the GM’s think. Even though somehow they still have us coming 6th in the East 🧐

Knicks edge us 122-120 by a lucky Tyler Kolek 3 and a 50/50 non-call on Jaden Bradley’s layup in the dying seconds (Refs obviously don’t want OT in preseason). Despite the loss, so many positives. Starting with Scottie and his aggressiveness to take wide open jumpers and punish defenders if they leave him open (23 Pts, 9/15 FG). Kawhi was unusually quiet and wasn’t as mobile on both ends as usual (6 Pts), but he is still ramping up and getting back into tip top shape. RJ (21 Pts, 8 Reb, 4 Ast) & Quickley (18 Pts, 7 Ast, 5 Reb) were both fantastic and aided Scottie with scoring and the playmaking tonight. That’s 4 straight good games for RJ by the way. Poeltl was a decent connector tonight, but again just terrible defensively overall especially with the KAT and Brunson pick and roll. Walter and Shead both struggled tonight not making much of a consistent impact on the game. CMB (12 Pts, 5 Reb, 3 Stl) was inspiring on defence and continues to show why he can be in contention for 6th man of the year this season. Battle’s debut was solid with (10 Pts) on efficient shooting as always. Malachi Smith looked smooth to close the game with (8 Pts in 3 Min) to almost will us to win the game. On the Champs side Mr. Clutch led them with (20 Pts), KAT flirted with a triple double (13 Pts, 15 Reb, 9 Ast), Bridges (14 Pts), Drummond (14 Pts) and Shamet (13 Pts) all contributed which helped stack up the points. Onto a B2B in Detroit tomorrow our last game of preseason!

Kawhi is your typical Apex predator of the basketball world, when he see’s stars ganging up to win a championship he licks his chops and is ready to strike, if your not on his team your prey!!!🦴 👣

Big Perk knows ball, unlike his coworker Mr. Bobby Brooklyn Marks!

Perk also acknowledged that Leonard “breaks up happy homes” meaning he dethrones super teams, which is as accurate of a statement as it gets!

Marks is probably still stuck on why Brooklyn always fails with veteran stars every year. I forgot they got none no more after a trillion mishandled trades!

Bobby Marks 20 years in the Brooklyn Nets organization, the losing culture sure does make you lose a couple marbles man…

All it takes is to watch this team for one game to know what potential this team has. I guess Walter, Battle, Graves don’t exist. Not to mention we have one of the best superstars in 3 point efficiency in Kawhi Leonard.

Things change from season to season this is a prime example of not understanding that and player personnel. If this was last year sure it’s a valid take, not this year and that’s not up for debate, but the playoffs last year won’t tell him that, which is realistically what he watched if that lol!
