Happy Pub Day to @thedrinkingcoach Tiffanie Barriere (as in Perrier!) and @davejoachim on the launch of Good Spirits! A book about cocktails, history, and culture, about honoring legacies and histories, and making the world better one damn fine drink at a time. We would have been LOST without the creative spirit and vision from our superstar photography team - @caitbensel @littlefoodwonders @mr.driver_stylist and the design….THE DESIGN! @sunrararara made a sexy and sultry and vivid cocktail book that demands SPACE. Come for the cocktails, read a bit of context, and shake up something special whenever you’re in the mood to feel special. Tiffanie exudes grace and, as @sallyekus says, sparkles - cheers to you Tiff and to all the bartenders, drink makers, distillers, and visionaries past and present - may Good Spirits be with you always!! @voraciousbooks @littlebrown @hachetteus by @raquelpelzel
A very happy pub day to you Maria!!!! If you need to feel HAPPY, eat HAPPY, and cook food that makes other people HAPPY, dig in to @foodbymaria 304 pages of tangible sunshine. Filled with all your Greek faves (gyros! xorta! gigante beans with tomatoes! and so many honey-drenched desserts!) #GreekOut brings Mediterranean joy to your kitchen. Shot partially in Greece by @linda.xiao, @rebeccajurkevich, @maeve_sheridan and designed with so much creativity and care by @makeandmatter - congrats to the whole @voraciousbooks team at @littlebrown and @rachelholtzman for bringing everything together! by @raquelpelzel
Happy Pub Day Cassy!!!! Occasionally I get to help bring a book into the world that I absolutely know is going to actually change people’s lives - and that’s this book. Loads of protein, tons of fiber AND a week of three dinners (meal prepped on a Sunday ofc) that doesn’t break the bank. Cassy has cracked the code on a system for weekday dinners that checks all the boxes: delicious, efficient, family friendly, stress free, and health supportive. There’s enough stress in the world - dinner doesn’t have to be a production!! Thank you Cassy for dreaming up this ingenious cook once, eat all week system!!!! Bright, happy photos from @alannahale @carrieannpurcell @courtneydewet and design by @laurapalesedesign - @voraciousbooks @littlebrown 💪🏋️🫛 by @raquelpelzel
If you think you need to eat loads of cottage cheese and ground beef and chicken breast to meet your protein goals (or spending half your paycheck at the grocery store to load up on high protein foods)….prepare to be blown away!!! In #eattohustle Robin Arzón proves that you absolutely CAN get ALL the protein and fiber (hello fiber!) from healthy, whole, and kind foods—like here, and not in this order (😅) her protein packed lasagna, homemade veggie burgers (made with the powerhouse ingredient TVP!!), the most delicious “chicken” salad (dehydrated tofu curls!!), on of my favorite recipes - the lentil curry (everyone should be boosting soups and curries with silken tofu), a high protein lentil waffle (you can also make them into pancakes), and FLAN made with NO eggs NO dairy and with 14g of protein per serving! This book is smart (@caseyelsass!!), informative (thank you Dalina @your.latina.nutritionist for your contributions!), and gorgeous (shout out to @johnny_miller_ @rebeccajurkevich @sarah.smart.stylist ) @voraciousbooks @littlebrown @hachetteus! And Hapoy pub day to the endlessly inspiring @robinnyc!!!! by @raquelpelzel
Happy Pub Day to The Talisman of Happiness by Ada Boni!!! Known as the Joy of Cooking of Italy, this incredible bible of Italian food traditions was first published in 1929 - our edition, the first unabridged and in English (8 translators worked to make this book a reality!) clocks in at just under 1000 pages and 1,680 recipes! It was the first book I got to work on when I joined @foreverbeard at @voraciousbooks - and what an honor it has been. Ada is a LEGEND and the story of how this book came to Voracious is equally so! A true labor or love 🇮🇹. Check out @kimseverson story in the @nytimes … and more to come! And a special thank you to @lidiabastianich and @katieparla for your heartfelt forewords and #giulianohazan @giadadelaurentiis @marcvetri @nancysilverton @viacarota @evanfunke for sharing your deep love for this timeless classic that should be in every kitchen! Gorgeous cover design by @nickmisani 👩‍🍳😍 by @raquelpelzel
My son started a production company! So proud of you J! @julian__grady @lankyorangutanmedia 🦧 by @raquelpelzel
A very happy pub day to @chefsymon!!! I feel like this book is all you about you and Liz in your happiest place - cooking outside over coals and live flames (and shaking up solid cocktails to give you something to sip on while the fire does its job!) . The cool thing about this cookbook (our FIFTH together!) is that everything is cooked on the grill - even pasta even cake even everything! It’s really about living your best outdoor life and turning your patio, deck, or even balcony into your second kitchen. So many cool ideas (smoked tomato sauce!)…and the most amazing photo team to capture it all @edandcamera @susanspungen @maeve_sheridan - thanks @dougtrattner for keeping everyone honest, and of course to @iadingman for the playful slightly retro design. Seeing this book in the world makes me so excited for grilling season - finally - just around the corner!! Mazels Michael!!!!! by @raquelpelzel
Happy Pub Day to Alia and Radwa also known as @fooddolls!!!! From day 1 working with Alia and Radwa I knew this book would be special - not only are these two sisters so incredibly kind and thoughtful but they had an absolute vision for the kind of book they wanted to create! Gorgeous and highly delicious, while I wasn’t at @clarksonpotter for the final leg of their journey, I sure am honored to have been a part of their path! Congrats to the photo team @evakolenko @bitemestyling @geniusgenesis and to our sage leader @msquinn1002 . If you’re feeling burnt out on heavy wintry food - BUY THIS BOOK and taste some Egyptian-Middle Eastern sunshine 🌞🌞 combined with Midwestern hospitality 💜 by @raquelpelzel
Today is Down North Day!!!! It’s We the Pizza Day. I’ve been looking forward to today for a long time, ever since my first call with Muhammad Abdul-Hadi, ever since my first bite of Uptown Vibes. Ever since I walked into Down North and felt the vibe and the love. This is a cookbook. And it’s so much more. It’s about stories and second chances. It’s about equity and redemption. It’s about hope and justice and humanity and hard work and community and opportunity. We the Pizza is the story of Down North pizza in Philly (Go Eagles!) a pizza shop that not only wins awards and makes killer Philly style pies (plus ridiculous cauliflower wings - thanks chef Mike Carter!!) — and whose main objective is to reduce recidivism rates in Philadelphia. Along with dough tactics and sauce techniques, you’re gonna learn about our (in)justice system, about people who get caught up in it and who have a hard time getting out. We the Pizza is the story of how a pizza shop has changed the lives of the men and women who work there. I am so privileged to have helped Muhammad and Mike tell their stories - not to mention Mar, Miss Tremelle, Myles, Perm, Derrick. The photos by Amurri Lauren effuse joy and hope and soul. The words and recipes that Dave Joachim helped get from heart to page combined with a ticker of the history of this country’s prison system work synchronistically together so poignantly. Thank you Dr Ajima Olaghere for your preface. Danny Trejo for your powerful foreword. To Mark Vetri, Mike Solomonov, Shenarri Freeman, Marcus Samuelsson, Reem Assil, and Nicole and Michael Nicholas for contributing your creative pizzas made in collaboration with Down North. Toni Tipton Martin, John Gray, Peter Reinhart, and Stephen Satterfield for your supportive words. To Sally Ekus. And to my former Clarkson Potter team, including Stephanie Huntwork on design at Clarkson Potter and to the whole team there working to get this book recognized and seen. It’s an important one that deserves to be noticed and talked about. (And did you know all the pizzas are named after Philly songs and musicians??? Check out the playlist on Spotify!) by @raquelpelzel
Happy BIG birthday to @m_aitcheson Don’t know where I’d be without you to make me laugh and smile on the daily. You inspire me so much - and frankly everyone around you, too. I love you beyond. 💜💜💜 by @raquelpelzel
Happy PUB WEEK to @guarnaschelli and her stunning new cookbook Italian American Forever!! This is allllllll the food you want to cozy up to right now, and all the recipes Alex was born to cook - featuring recipes she’s been cooking and eating her whole life. You’ll find Grandma Guarnaschelli’s marinara as well as dishes from from her Sicilian mother (legendary cookbook editor Maria Guarnaschelli), her father (whose family was from Bari in Puglia), and that Alex has perfected during her career as a chef. (The baked ziti is a personal fave!) if you’re into saucy, cheesy, and extra garlic, this book is for you. Congrats Alex!!!! And congrats to the TEAM @johnny_miller_ @rebeccajurkevich @glenproebstel @msquinn1002 💚🤍❤️ by @raquelpelzel
A very very very happy pub day (+1!) to @bromabakery’s Sweet Tooth! So many of Sarah’s recipes have become house faves for me and my family - from the unsurpassable brown butter Best Chocolate Chip Cookies in the World to the chocolate-on-chocolate-on-chocolate (with a vegan variation!!) Matilda’s Cake and the Unbirthday Cake confetti Cookies - this collection will surely become many of your go-to sweets too! Failproof and fun, Sarah’s sweet energy courses through each page. I highly encourage you to stock up on butter and sugar and get baking! And way to CRUSH @todayshow !!!!! by @raquelpelzel
