Meet Community, the star (if we do say so ourselves) of @beehiiv’s Summer Release.

Community was beehiiv’s most requested feature and the hardest to get right. So we rolled up our sleeves and worked closely across their product, design, and engineering teams to build a place for the conversation to live:

→a feed that surfaces the discussions actually happening
→ real-time chat that runs on the creator’s own platform
→ newsletter posts that arrive with their own comment thread

Here’s a fact most agencies won’t admit: if something off-the-shelf covers 80% or more of what you need, and the missing 20% isn’t your competitive differentiator, just buy the damn thing.

For a lot of the businesses we talk to, the smart call isn’t custom at all. It’s buying the thing @notionhq or @slackhq already solved and moving on.
