Culture doesn’t move forward by following the rules.

Rare Entity was built to break them.

We accelerate ideas that feel different, build platforms that return value to creators, and create experiences that redefine how audiences connect with culture - from music to immersive worlds.

This is a shift in how culture gets made.

And there’s a lot more coming this year. Read more about the Rare approach in Co-Founder Dave Stewart’s interview with Rachel Halliburton and The Art’s Desk by following the link in our bio.

Ideas that shape culture.

We build Rare Entities. Things you can feel before you can name. A chord that lifts a room. A held breath in a stadium. A room gone quiet when the lights go down. We begin there: the world you step into and don’t want to leave. We believe culture is felt before it’s understood. At Rare, we choose the power of craft and human creativity. Hands on instruments, eyes on the room, ears tuned to the moment.

We work with artists, athletes, storytellers, and makers, the people who carry worlds inside them. Across music, sport, and immersive worlds, we turn rare intellectual property into living cultural moments - shows, labels, stories, places - made to be felt, shared, remembered.

We start with outstanding IP, bring elite talent, and pair creativity with expert operations so the best ideas endure. Capital amplifies; it doesn’t author. Not moments for the feed. Moments that make you feel.

We build the structures that let those worlds live, so a moment becomes a memory, then a movement.

This is Rare: a powerhouse of creation founded by music legend and creative visionary Dave Stewart and entrepreneurs Dominic Joseph and Rich Britton.

The momentum is building at Rare. A reminder of our mission.

We build Rare Entities.

Extraordinary ventures in culture & experience. Rare brings together outstanding IP, elite talent, creativity and expert operations to turn bold ideas into living entities that shift the landscape. We build ecosystems where creativity drives real momentum and where new cultural value can form.

Rare exists to do more than rebalance power. We exist to develop Entities and Originals that break the norms entirely. We explore new formats, create platforms that open new value, and experiences that reshape how culture is made and felt. And at the centre of every entity, creators and IP owners stay in control.

Coming up this May we’re excited to announce new advisors, from creative talent to an elite board and a new chairman. As well as showcasing our growing portfolio of new Rare Entities, new Rare Originals, we will introduce to the world of Rare Motion, our commercialisation of new partnerships across film, TV, broadcast and podcasts. We’re launching Rare X, our experiences, where we transform living stories into real destinations. We’re excited to announce Rare Impact, our vision to prove that doing good and doing well are not mutually exclusive. Plus we are piloting our insights platform Rare Instinct, our proprietary cultural insights platform, AI powered, designed to identify, map and scale culturally defining ventures - drawing on our unique access to the world’s most cutting edge cultural projects.

We move at pace. We are changing the model.

From Sunderland to Eurythmics, and from Sweet Dreams to what comes next.

Rare co-founder Dave Stewart sits down with The Telegraph to look back on an extraordinary life in music. The risks, accidents, collaborations and ideas that have shaped more than five decades of creativity.

It’s also a reminder of something that sits at the heart of Rare: great creative ideas need the freedom, belief and space to become something real.

“Demi has a very strong character - a force of nature, in fact. She has a definite vision of what she wants to do, but she’s also a great collaborator.”

For the next release from Dave Stewart’s photography collection, we’re sharing a selection of portraits of Demi Moore, created across very different moments and settings.

Some were shot over two days at Dave’s apartment in Seven Dials, London. The first images were spontaneous and abstract - Demi lying on the floor, photographed in the hallways and living room. Others were more formally composed, with a full lighting setup.

Dave worked predominantly with his Rolleiflex 6x6 - just 12 frames to a roll. Everything would be prepared before shooting, using Polaroids to test the image first.

“One roll of film, 12 shots, would capture that whole moment.”

Another photograph was made thousands of miles away, on a beach in Goa. Shot around midnight, Demi emerges from the sea against the darkness of the Indian Ocean. To make it possible, cables and plugs had to be stretched all the way from the hotel to the beach, simply to power a single light.

“I shot many photographs of her on the beach at dusk and then into the night. Every particular shot is very different.”

Sometimes Dave used his unusual Plaubel Makina 67, but most were captured on the Rolleiflex - creating the square negatives that could eventually become giant portraits.

There are many more photographs of Demi that Dave has never shown.

This is the next chapter.

Rare Entities are breakout ventures built to move culture.

Grounded in the Rare ecosystem, they bring together elite talent, unrivalled access and ambitious founders to build businesses across sport, music, entertainment and experiences.

Every Entity is powered by an integrated platform spanning strategy, partnerships, marketing, technology, talent, finance and AI - giving founders the expertise to move faster, execute better and scale with confidence.

But the real advantage is the ecosystem.

Connections create opportunities. Talent flows across ventures. Partnerships compound. Every new Entity strengthens the network, and the network strengthens every Entity.

This is more than support. It’s a platform for building category-defining businesses.

Built to move culture. Designed to scale.

“The creative breakthroughs that have actually moved culture didn’t come from removing friction. They came from inside it.”

AI isn’t the end of creativity. It’s the beginning of a new creative era.

Co-Founder Dom Joseph explores why the real competitive advantage won’t be access to AI, but the ideas, taste and imagination behind it.

If AI changes how we make, then creativity becomes even more valuable.
