I had the honor of speaking to an incredible group of young women from @blkgirladvocate —and the fact that these high school girls traveled all the way from Minnesota to be in the DMV and invited me for a special keynote session… I don’t take that lightly 🤍

This was a real-life “Hey Lil Sis” moment.

God didn’t just heal me… He sent me back for the girls behind me. And in that room, there were tears, vulnerability, and real conversations about life, purpose, emotions, and choosing God even when it’s not easy.

Because truthfully… a lot of us had to learn the hard way. And I refuse to let them do the same.

When I was 16, God placed it on my heart to guide younger girls, “when I grew up” to be someone they could come to for wisdom, direction, and the guidance I deeply yearned for and didn’t always have.

Hey Lil Sis is where I share that—real guidance, big sister advice, and God-led wisdom for navigating life and purpose.

How long will you sleep? How long will you slumber? (Proverbs 6:9)

At @readyforoverflow the Lord spoke something to me so clearly: “I miss My children.” That moment shook me. It was as if He was tugging at my heart, confirming how deep His love runs for His creation and how He doesn’t desire for us to perish.

You see, God has already given us authority through Jesus’ death and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 10:19, Acts 1:8). Yet for so long, I lived as if I didn’t carry that power. I stayed chained to my past, instead of walking in the victory He already promised (Romans 8:37).

But here’s the truth, friend - you can’t straddle the line. You have to pick a side. Are you fighting for the Kingdom, or against it by trying to play both? Because at the end of the day, we are in this world, but not of it (John 17:16).

That realization forced me to change. It pushed me to:
✨ Share my testimony boldly (Revelation 12:11)
✨ Spend more time in prayer and God’s Word (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Joshua 1:8)
✨ Guard my ear and eye gates (Psalm 101:3)
✨ Consecrate myself (Joshua 3:5)
✨ Let go of and forgive myself for things done by/to me in my past life and fully commit (2 Corinthians 5:17)

And let me be real with you—the unknown was scary. I went through three years of obscurity, where it felt like nobody saw me. But I can tell you now, every hidden season was worth it. Because in that place, God was working, shaping, and preparing me.

And He’s not finished. He’s just getting started in my life—and He wants to do the same in yours (Jeremiah 29:11).

What an incredible honor. Thank you to St. Frances Academy and Coach Nyke for inviting me as a special guest. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the students, have meaningful one-on-one conversations, and encourage the next generation of young women.

There was one student in particular whose conversation will stay with me. Moments like that remind me why I do what I do. You never know how a simple conversation, a listening ear, or a few words of encouragement can impact someone’s life.

As someone who attended an all-girls private school, this experience was especially meaningful. Sitting with these young women was a full-circle moment because, not too long ago, I was in their seat—dreaming, questioning, growing, and trying to figure out who God created me to be. To now have the opportunity to pour back into the next generation is something I’ll never take for granted.

I’m also incredibly thankful for the wisdom shared by the other special guests. It was inspiring to be in a room filled with leaders who are committed to investing in young women.

Thank you again, St. Frances Academy and Coach Nyke, for the invitation and for creating spaces where young women can be encouraged, challenged, and reminded of their potential.

I guess a birthday is as good a time as any for a hard launch… 🤭 What’s been cherished by me is finally new to you.

Feliz cumpleaños, mi amor. 💗 My best friend, my Kingdom partner, my ministry partner, my workout partner, my biggest supporter, my demon-slaying, prayer and Bible study partner.

Thank you for always pointing me toward Christ. As you enter a new era of your life, I celebrate you, I honor you, I cover you with the blood of Jesus, and I pray a hedge of protection around you and around us. I love youuuuuu para siempre.

Baltimore showed up. God showed out. And Overflow Conference is bringing it to DC on 7/3.
