Nothing like a good brunch at @seedcafesl 😍 Safe to say I’ve tried most of the menu at Seed Cafe 🙈 It’s one of my favourite brunch spots in Colombo so I absolutely love going there.

Never been a fan of congee, but @eastbound.bykarabu changed my mind! 🍲 This was a lovely way to start the meal! I’d go back and have this alone next time if I could. It’s served with a yummy chilli paste and that really enhances the flavour 😍

Prawn toast (Rs. 2400 for 2 pcs) - This was tasty and the sauce was great but I felt like the bread to prawn ratio could’ve been better 😊 Tasty, nonetheless!

Chicken potstickers (Rs. 1650 for 7pcs) - Nice little appetiser + dipping sauce 🥟 Very generous portion as an appetiser and I would recommend. There was good flavour and it was pan fried, so the texture was yum too.

Biang Biang Noodles w/ beef (Rs. 2500) This was SO delicious! Simple, filling and tasty - What more could you need? It was a little oily, but that’s to be expected. The noodles tasted fresh and light which was nice to experience! They have a tofu and lamb option available as well.

The space is lovely! Small but intimate and great for date night or a catch up with friends 😊 taken in Karabu by @rasaimachang

@kahabath_gedara prawn rice and curry (Rs. 1900 with cashew curry) after years! Still so good 😍 I definitely recommend this or the pork if you’re looking for a lunch option.

Also I recommend doing pickup because the price difference is crazy when you order on Uber Eats vs pickup 🙃 taken in Kotte by @rasaimachang

Postpartum sushi night for this mum and boy, did I enjoy myself 😋 @zoyo_sashimi_house is easily one of the top (if not the best) sushi spots in Colombo. First time here after many recommendations and I’m so glad I went.

Salmon lava sushi (Rs. 3800) was super, but a little creamy for my liking but I still give it a 7.5/10 😍 You get around 7 rolls in this.

FRESH SASHIMI FTW 😍 Thickest slices I’ve had! They’re very generous with the portion and again, it was SO fresh.

Salmon avocado warship (Rs. 1500 for 2pcs) This was a lovely starter and there was so much flavour. Quite a decent portion.

Grilled salmon head (Rs. 2800) This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but my first time and I enjoyed it. It was a little messy to eat, but totally worth it. This didn’t need sauces and extra garnishes, just a squeeze of lime to enhance the flavour of this.

The wagyu roll (Rs. 3800/half portion) OMG! The Wagyu was delicious and it simply melted in my mouth. You can choose from a full portion (8pcs) or a half portion (4pcs)

Tuna temaki (Rs. 1800) Now THIS was a loaded one! Did not expect so much fresh tuna in this roll. Fully worth! taken in ZOYO Sashimi House by @rasaimachang

Food dump!

Starting off with my favourite cookies ever from @crumbngetit_by_saheli 😍 Her Brown Butter Salted Toffee Choco Chip is phenomenal. No words. Nothing can be said to describe how good it is!

The best croissants I’ve had in Colombo from @kiku.patisserie 🥐 Best to order these in the morning for extra freshness. So light, airy but an ideal pick-me-up in the morning.

My MIL’s rhubarb crumble! 😍 Could eat the whole dish if I was allowed.

Another spectacular pastry from @kiku.patisserie only available on the weekends! 🫐🍓

I’ve been wanting to order from @hungersquad_sl for ages so I’m glad I got the chance to!

I ordered their yellow rice and curry beef (Rs. 1700) and their chicken (Rs. 1500) off Uber Eats. This portion was so good and totally worth the price. Ample pieces of chicken and beef and the tempered potato was so good (a little spicy for me though!) The moju was yum, and I’m very picky about my moju so I was happy about this one 😋

It’s available on Uber Eats but a limited menu - It’s best to order directly from her as I’m sure there are more options! 😊 I can’t wait to order again and perhaps I’ll try something from her catering menu 🙈 taken in Colombo, Sri Lanka by @rasaimachang

New restaurant alert 🚨

New restaurant on Uber Eats called @lamesa_lk and they’ve got a mix of cuisine including a few Filipino items.

We ordered the beef rendang (Rs. 3450) and a portion of their chicken wings (Rs. 2200) and I can safely say we’re going to continue ordering from them! The wings were the best we’ve had in Colombo so far and this portion is served with their ranch sauce and a portion of celery sticks.

The beef rendang was YUM! Soft, flavourful beef and the accompaniments brought everything together. This was shared by two people and we ordered an extra rice portion too. If you’re very hungry, you can smash this by yourself but this can also be shared if you’re not very hungry 😋

This is a very new restaurant and I can’t wait to try the rest of the items on their menu. by @rasaimachang

Visited @sushi.kai after what felt like forever and tried out some new items from their menu that we hadn’t tried before.

Dynamite prawn (Rs. 2980) - This was a great starter and the portion was ideal. The sauce was really tasty and the size of the prawns impressed us! Would recommend if you’re looking for something to nibble on until the mains arrive.

Prawn tempura (Rs. 2950) - We hadn’t got this in ages but it was still good! Not too oily or too caked in batter. And again, the portion was perfect for two people.

Kani Salad (Rs. 2250) was a shredded crab stick salad and we really enjoyed it! It came with julienned cucumbers and carrots tossed in a creamy, tangy dressing made with mayonnaise. It also had mango and we LOVED the crunch from the battered pieces and the topping of fish roe. taken in Sushi Kai by @rasaimachang
