If God is good, and I've experienced personal healing and answered prayers… why aren't my sons developing?

That was one of the hardest questions I've ever had to ask God.

I had experienced His goodness personally. I had seen Him answer prayers. I had experienced healing.

So when I became a mother to two boys with additional needs, I had to wrestle with questions I didn't have easy answers for.

Instead of walking away from God, I decided to dig deeper.

Deeper into His Word.
Deeper into prayer.
Deeper into seeking Him.

And what I discovered was that God's goodness cannot be measured solely by what I can see happening around me.

Scripture challenged me to see trials differently — not as evidence that God had abandoned me, but as opportunities for endurance, perseverance and lasting character to be formed in me.

I had to learn to lean not on my own understanding and trust God even when I couldn't understand His ways.

I've also had to redefine what faith looks like for me.

Faith isn't only believing that my sons will one day be completely transformed according to my expectations.

Faith is believing that God is good regardless of what I see.

So I will pray.
I will decree and declare God's Word.
I will advocate for my boys.
I will help them grow.
I will nurture their strengths.
I will fight for the best possible life and future for them.

And even if I never see the complete healing or transformation I've prayed for, I will still trust God — and I will still be faithful with what He has placed in my hands.

Because my sons are not a problem I need to solve.

They are two lives I've been entrusted to steward. 💙

But I know I'm not the only mother who has wrestled with questions like these.

🧎🏾‍♀️Let God lead you first.
Take courage and start digging deeper, sitting longer at His feet. Allow His gentle nudge to provoke you to start leading yourself.

To sit and wait on God is a privilege, to learn how to obey His voice over the voices that tell you how "unqualified" you are, allow them all to be silenced as you lean into His presence.

Psalm 16:11 (ESV):
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Exodus 33:14 (NIV)
“The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”

James 4:8 (NIV)
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”

Pray with me

Lord Jesus help me to still myself and abide, wait and seek Your face in this hour. Silence the noise and help me to understand that it is when I look for you that is when You truly will be found. Your heart for me is for me to draw near to you. Help me to enquire about the plans you have for me and disconnect from all sources that distract and disrupt my heart and mind. Carry me tonight and help me to practice abiding in Your presence today and everyday. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

The Road To @soloslondon

The love I have for team @ashaelia knows to bounds, from getting to work with @realrenzoba who is the most humble talented man period.

To literally receiving a straight up answer to prayer when @nicoleneolove accepted the role as Choreographer.

@nicoleneolove your talent and attention to detail was so transformational, you gave me confidence to execute the routines and just bring the vibes to @theclaphamgrand

As for @ashaelia throughout the whole experience she display pure humility and beauty in the way she led us and share her heart, I'm rooting for you girl!

I thank God for being your shield and strength, taking you places you cannot even dream, think or imagine.

Moments like this truly have to be experienced, shout to my girls who captured these moments and reminded your girl that there are truly no limitations with Jesus.

Sis, sometimes the most destructive relationship you have is the one where you keep abandoning yourself to keep everyone else happy.

People-pleasing can disguise itself as kindness, but when it is rooted in fear, it will have you betraying your boundaries, silencing your convictions and compromising your obedience to God.

You can love people without living for their approval.

You can be kind without being controlled by guilt.

And you can disappoint people without being outside the will of God.

It's time to renew your mind, reclaim your voice and walk in the freedom Christ has given you.

You're not called to keep everyone comfortable. You're called to be faithful.

“Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?” — Galatians 1:10 (ESV)

Sis, you're the main character. Stop living like you're not. 🤍👑

Sometimes we shrink, seek validation, and put everyone else first because we're living from a place of rejection rather than the security of knowing we're loved by our Father.

An orphan spirit makes us strive for what God has already given us in Christ: acceptance, belonging and identity.

Sis, it's time to renew your mind in the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Stop agreeing with the lies of insecurity, fear and unworthiness, and start believing what He has spoken over you.

You are chosen. You are loved. You are a daughter of the King. You don't have to compete for a place in His family. 🤍

This isn't about making yourself the centre of everything. It's about no longer making yourself small in the life God has entrusted to you.

Return to the Word. Remember who He says you are. Start living from that truth. 🕊️

🟡 Choose a Scripture that speaks to the area you need encouragement in.

🟡 Understand the truth God is revealing through His Word.

🟡 Declare it aloud by turning the scripture into a personal statement of faith.

🟡 Pray and meditate on the truth, allowing it to renew your mind.

🟡 Apply it daily by choosing to live according to God's Word.

🤍 Remember, biblical declarations aren't magic words; they're a way to remind yourself of God's truth and strengthen your faith.

Mama, this is your reminder that you matter too. 🤍

You can love your family deeply and still need rest.
You can be grateful for motherhood and still miss parts of yourself.
You can give your all and still recognise that you need pouring into too.

Maybe you've been so busy caring for everyone else that you've forgotten to ask yourself, “How am I?”

The woman underneath the responsibilities is still there.

She still has dreams.
She still has gifts.
She still deserves joy.
She still deserves to flourish.

Your children don't need a mother who disappears completely into motherhood.

They need to see a woman who knows that caring for herself isn't selfish — it's part of caring for the life she's been entrusted with.

So take the class.
Book the coffee.
Go on the date.
Make the appointment.
Rest.
Laugh.
Dream again.

You don't have to earn the right to take up space in your own life.

There is still so much life in you, mama.

This season can be about more than surviving.

It can be about becoming.

And maybe it's time to let yourself flourish again. 🌱🤍

Maybe marriage is a little like a merry-go-round. 🎠

You get on with excitement, expectations and dreams.

Then life happens... the highs, the lows, the losses, the changes, the seasons you never planned for.

The MERRY-GO-ROUND never stops...

Sometimes the spinning makes you forget what used to make you shine.

But eventually, the ride slows...

And in the stillness, you begin to see what the turbulence formed in you.

Your dreams may have changed, but your life isn't empty.

You are surrounded by evidence of your resilience. 🤍

You committed, even when it would've been easier to walk away.

What really matters?

You survived!

“I don’t need a Saviour.”🫠🤔🫣👀

But what if the first step to knowing Jesus is admitting that we actually do?

There is no need for a Saviour if we refuse to acknowledge our need for Him.

I need Him. 🙋🏾‍♀️

Not just for what He can give me.
Not just when life gets hard.
I need Him because He is life.

The Scriptures testify that Jesus is the God-Man. God who put on flesh.

Emmanuel. God with us.

The Saviour of the world came near.

And tonight, I can honestly say:

"I need a God like that."

A God who comes near.
A God who saves.
A God who meets me in my weakness.
A God I don't have to pretend I can live without.

So, Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times I've believed I can make it on my own.

Forgive me for trusting in my own strength, carrying what was never mine to carry, and trying to control what I was always meant to surrender.

I repent. I surrender my striving, my independence and my need to be in control. Teach me to depend on You. Teach me to trust You. Teach me to receive Your grace.

Jesus, I need You.

And if you're reading this tonight and something in you is saying, “I need a God like that too…”

You don't have to have all the answers first.

Come as you are. Talk to Him. Seek Him. Open the Scriptures. Get to know Jesus.

He came near.

And there is room for you too. 🤍

THE WOMAN WHO CARRIES EVERYONE ELSE NEEDS CARRYING TOO. 🤍

As mothers, we can become so used to nurturing everyone else that we forget to nurture ourselves.

As I stretched today, I was reminded of the inner stretching it took to carry, birth and steward what God placed inside me.

But the truth is, I was never carrying it alone.

God was there in the stretching.
He was there in the becoming.
And He is still carrying me now.

Lord Jesus, help me remember that You never left.
You're never late. You're always on time.
Help me recognise how deeply I need to be held by You.
You are my sustainer.

Mother, breathe.
Release.
You don't have to carry it all.

Let God hold you. 🤍
