Hey,

My name is Rasmus Linderos.

I’ve always loved to paint and create.

I grew up around art. My family has generations of artists. They painted abstract scenes of the sea and landscapes in strong colors.

Even though I never met them,
I feel like that way of creating has always stayed with me.

As a kid, I was drawn to the ocean,
playing on the rocks along the west coast of Sweden.

A lot of the inspiration in my work comes from there, from time spent by the sea, on the rocks and in the sand.

Today I paint semi abstract scenes of people and landscapes, often by the sea, using acrylic and a mix of materials.

I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist, so in my painting I try to let go of that. To allow uneven lines and loose strokes to exist.

My work is filled with color, light and movement. But also stillness and the quiet distance that can exist in a crowd.

Faces often become less defined.
Almost faceless. A way of protecting something on the inside.

Through my paintings, I try to capture simple moments. Where swimming, sunlight and the surroundings
become symbols of freedom and connection.

Painting is where I slow down and reconnect.

This is one of my favorite pieces from this year. It makes me happy every time I look at it. I really like the composition, and somehow I keep finding new details and feelings in it every time I come back to it.

Tackar vi @rasmuslinderos för ett otroligt fint genomfört vernissage. Barn, hundar, stammisar till Frippe, kompisar till Rasmus. Älskar när fler kommer till oss av olika anledningar (hör av dig om du får några tankar). Tavlorna hänger hela veckan, några är sålda, några finns kvar. På torsdag kör vi ett litet extra frukostvernissage i kaffebaren kl 9 för de som missade. One day, I decided to cycle all the way to the Mediterranean sea to have a good swim. I brought a few small canvases and some paint, taking inspiration from the landscapes, people, nature and colors along the way.

Watch to the end to see if I made it🌊

I’ve been dealing with depression and anxiety, and cycling gave me what I needed. Movement, time in nature, new places to explore, space to think and the chance to meet people along the way.

I crossed Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland before reaching the south of France. I also took a few trains to cover boring distances. Total of 1500km and 25 days.

I’m grateful that I can work this way, and that so many of you have followed the journey and connected with my art.

I’m bringing plenty of inspiration back to the studio☀️

I’m happy to announce that I’ll be taking over the walls with a few selected pieces at @restaurangfrippe, Nybrogatan 6. During the last week of September☀️

To kick off the week, I’d love to invite you for a drink on September 24th, 18:00–20:00. Come as you are and say hello.

It was sold with a beautiful oak frame that my father has custom built.

Here are a few moments from the studio this summer! I’ve been working on a few bigger pieces as well as some smaller ones. The second image is the biggest piece I’ve made to date.

I’m also happy to share that I can now offer custom frames for new pieces, made in oak or pine. They’re made by my wonderful father, which makes them feel extra special. I’ll share more about that soon and show you some of the pieces framed.
