Wait… did you catch everything that happened in this play? 👀🌈⚽️🤯

It started with @rastafarirules asking for the ball and @graham_evvy chipping it over to him from the right.

RT did his thing… 🔥

And it ended with Graham’s reaction 🤯 because that was his assist!

But… did you see the second rainbow?

Yes, the goal was crazy, but the part I love most is the freedom to try something.

No hesitation. No fear of messing up. Just play.
That’s what makes this game beautiful. 🤩

Homeschool break turned into a soccer moment today.

An email came in inviting Ras Tafari to participate in Orlando City SC Academy’s Futures training sessions, a program designed to identify and develop high-potential players.

He had no idea what the message said.
So instead of explaining it, I handed it to him and asked what he thought.

Five weeks.
One high-level environment.
An opportunity to learn, compete, and grow.

Nothing is guaranteed in this game, but moments like this remind us that the daily work matters.

Training.
Discipline.
Consistency.

None of this happens without the people who have poured into him along the way.
To the coaches who have invested time, knowledge, and belief in him, you know who you are. Thank you.

Opportunity earned.
The journey continues.

Yesterday, I watched my son play soccer five minutes from the house where I grew up, from birth to the summer after 2nd grade.⚽️

A full-circle moment I didn't know I needed.

As an American-born daughter of Haitian parents, married to a man who was born & raised in Haiti, we've always been intentional about teaching our children their roots. Our beautiful Creole language, our rich culture, traditions, and the powerful history of a people whose courage and resilience helped change the world.

Because Haiti is so much more than the current headlines. I couldn't think of a more fitting backdrop than the @Littlehaitisoccer park in Miami to share a piece of history that every American should know.

This isnt just Haitian history. It's American history, too.

Did you know the Haitian Revolution played a significant role in the Louisiana Purchase?

In short, the Haitian Revolution contributed to France's decision to sell the Louisiana Territory to the United States in 1803, nearly doubling the size of this country.

Let that sink in.

The courage & fight for freedom of the Haitian people helped shape the map of the United States we know today.🇭🇹🇺🇸

That's the history our children carry with pride. Not just knowing where their family comes from, but understanding the impact their ancestors had on the world.

And somehow, God brought me right back to where my own story began, this time watching my son write a little piece of his.

@RasTafariRules team didn't get the result we wanted on the soccer field yesterday. But standing there reminded me that not every victory comes with a trophy or a winning score, its about showing up and giving effort. We're so thankful that after the game we were able to walk away with more than we could have asked for.

Sometimes the blessing is in the journey, the connections, the memories, the roots, and the reminder of how far God has brought you. I truly believe He has a bigger plan at work, even when no one sees it yet. 😏

WHO deserves the GOLD medal in our family's Backwards Running Challenge? 🥇😂

After a soccer-filled Saturday, you'd think we'd be DONE running!

@zaharizone played his first recreational soccer game, @rastafarirules had a tough league game, and @joinjabari refereed his very first soccer game! ⚽️👏🏾

Meanwhile, @safarirosed , who's been busy with gymnastics (more than soccer) these days, and I were holding down the cheering section! 📣❤️

After all that, most families would go home, shower, eat, and RELAX.

Not this family. 😂

We got home and decided to try the viral reverse running trend. And somehow, EVERYBODY was convinced they could do it better than the next person! 🤣

Even the cheerleaders came ready to compete!

This is us. The @DorvalDynasty! A little competitive, a whole lot of laughter, and apparently incapable of sitting still. ❤️

They could’ve been doing anything else on a Wednesday night… instead, these boys volunteered to be ball boys at a professional soccer match! ⚽️💚

FC Naples defeated the Richmond Kickers 2-0 in @uslleagueone action, but these young Azzurri Storm players were paying attention to more than the scoreboard.

Finley (far left), a U13 defender, said, “I got to see my position up close.”

Meanwhile, U12 @rastafarirules and U13 @joinjabari couldn’t stop talking about former Azzurri player turned FC Naples pro @ty.collins1.
“He’s the perfect wing man.”
“He’s not afraid to cut in.”
“He takes the 1v1s.”
“He farms for fouls.” 😂
That last one was new to me!

And the full-circle moment? Jabari and Ras Tafari were ball boys at Ty’s professional debut. Now they’re watching him contribute an assist in another FC Naples victory, to "own the east."

Thank you @azzurristormsoccer 💜 for giving these boys another opportunity to experience @fc.naples up close!

Sometimes the best soccer lessons happen when you’re not the one playing. And seeing someone who once wore your club’s jersey playing professionally makes that next level feel a little closer. 💚

They got to see this 🔥 goal up close… but what happened after might be the part they remember most. 🥹⚽️

Our boys got to be ball boys with some of their @azzurristormsoccer teammats tonight. And thye got to see @fc.naples picked up a 2-0 win over the Richmond Kickers. We caught the entire goal in real time. @ty.collins1 with the assist and @gio_mig9 with the finish. 🔥👏🏾

After the game, both of them took the time to come over and take pictures with the boys. Gio even jumped over the barrier to get to them.💪

And just when I thought I was taking a picture of Jabari and Ras Tafari with Gio, I hear little Zahari:
“Mommy, can I get in the picture?” 😂🥹
Of course you can, buddy.

Goals are exciting. Wins are exciting. But sometimes it’s the few extra seconds a player gives a kid that become the core memory.

Great game. Even better night. ⚽️💙🤍💛💜

Our coaches apparently range from 2 months old to 1 MILLION years old. 😭⚽️😂

We asked some of our @azzurristormsoccer coaches how many years they’ve been coaching… then did this viral trend done to teachers where we turned them into that age. 😂

Our "youngest" coach is also a current player @fc.naples. @kevoconnor08 And yes, coach Chris Gores really said “one million.” We eventually got his real answer: 16 years. 😭

All jokes aside, there’s a reason we chose to share this today. Happy National Coaches Day! 💜⚽️

This is only some of our coaches, but the appreciation goes to ALL of them. Thank you for the time, patience, knowledge, and energy you pour into these players and for the role you play in their development on and off the field.

One Day He Won’t Ask Mom to Train With Him Anymore 🥹

⚽️So, as long as he still asks Mom to come out and train with him, I’m showing up… even when the mosquitoes are showing up too and I just want to go for a walk. 🦟😭❤️

What if we’ve been measuring practice by the wrong thing? 👀⚽️

Perfection was never really the point.

Some days you see the work paying off immediately. Other days, they’re putting in the reps, making adjustments, getting better… and it’s harder to see.

That’s the part I think we sometimes miss in youth sports.

A cleaner touch. A quicker decision. More confidence. Something that took five tries starts taking three.
That counts too.

Practice isn’t about becoming perfect.
Practice is about making PROGRESS. 💯

And sometimes, as parents, we have to slow down long enough to notice the progress happening right in front of us.

Shoutout to Coach Felipe with @primetimetraining_ for continuing to pour into this U12 @azzurristormsoccer team and @rastafarirules . 🙌🏾

Sports parents: Are we sometimes so focused on the outcome that we miss the progress happening along the way? 👀👇🏾

Soccer coaches… y’all have some explaining to do. 😭⚽️😂

We’ve all seen it during soccer training:

Coach: “This is how you do the drill.”
Pass. Move. Support. Demonstrate everything perfectly…

Then it’s time to actually SHOOT and they don't 👀😂
But not this coach.

He said “ YOU WANT ME TO SHOOT IT!” and actually took the shot himself. 🔥

🎯 Technique: smooth.
⚽ Confidence: 100%.
🥅 Crossbar: who put it there. 😂

But hey… at least Coach @phenixvpaul took the shot. Respect. 🤝🏾 He doesn't just talk the talk he walks the walk.

Players: do your coach actually finish the drills they demonstrates?
And coaches… be honest do you. 👀😂👇🏾
