My morning walks to work are always beautiful, but it's very magical in the Fall. The old house by the church is covered in Virginia creepers that turn such a vibrant red as soon as the weather starts to turn. The little block around it feels like something out of time. I'm so rich. by @rattletooth

I've been tinkering with my armor to make it fit better, because even the smallest sizes are a little big on me. Lots of punching holes and bending the steel. by @rattletooth

TWO SHIELD MAIDENS. TWO DRAGONS. ONE WARRIOR. 🐉🛡️

Many months ago, we were fortunate to attend @norseforgedgathering 6, where we met some truly extraordinary people.

Two fierce shield maidens we met that day never stopped thinking about our little warrior.

Recently, they sent Declan two new friends to help him battle Stage 4 cancer.

@rattletooth sent an amazing gift. Auntie Nonha hand-crafted a dragon just for him. While Uncle Kevin has not stopped checking in on us, making sure there little Battle Nephew is pushing forward.

Auntie Nonha remembered the day Declan stopped to pet her own Drake. She saw the wonder in his eyes and the joy on his face as he talked to her about her dragon.

So she spent countless hours creating one of his own.

He named her Dragonie.

Now Dragonie protects Declan while he sleeps and joins him in battle against his enemies during playtime.

Then @christenareckless, was up. Auntie Reckless sent a carefully filled a box with goodies, surprises, and love just for our boy.

Inside, Declan met his second dragon.

Toothless. 🐉

These two shield maidens gave Declan far more than dragons and gifts.

They gave him joy. Motivation. Courage. And something to smile about right before a crazy week of tests, scans, and hospital visits.

He loved them so much that he took both dragons with him to the hospital.

And somewhere along the way, they stopped being gifts.

They became family.

To Auntie Nonha and Auntie Reckless:

Thank you for remembering our boy.

Thank you for putting your time, your hands, your hearts, and your love into something that would make him smile.

And thank you for standing beside our little warrior when he needed a few more dragons in his army.

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity, kindness, and fierceness.

Two shield maidens. Two dragons. One very loved little warrior.

Gratefully,

At long last I have reached a satisfactory point with this project. Presenting: my #dungeonsynth and fantasy vest!
Inspired into existence after seeing an interview with @werewolfthouart and their INCREDIBLE battlevest, I've paid a little homage to their fine work with the purity seal I made on the collar.
A lot of the patches were handmade. I cross stitched patches for both @netherwilds and @josuakarlson. I took on huge embroidery projects making the patches for both @ornatorpet.official and @malfetds
Painted are the patches for @pallbearerdoom , Iagon, Cave Castle, Dominus Soul, and Castle Siege.
I'm looking forward to wearing this to see Castle Rat in October!!
