POSTS STORIES REELS

Thanks @joerogan for the mention! Happy to be the “young kid” journalist clowning America’s favourite nutjob billionaire @mcuban. Great fucking podcast on the corruption in American politics, Jungian archetypes, and dream analysis.

Mark and I had a long debate last summer about the reliability of scientific and medical institutions like the FDA, CDC, and Canadian government pushing harmful pharmaceutical medications like Ozempic, puberty blockers, and SSRIs while neglecting holistic medicine, psychedelic therapy, and other ancient modalities.

Mark just couldn’t see the naked corruption, partisanship, and financial interests polluting vast areas of scientific “consensus.” You can find our debate last year in my Instagram bio as well as the full Jimmy Dore podcast in which Joe mentioned me.

Also, Joe’s absolutely right about the mental illness of social media wars. I’ve been guilty of this in the past when I started out in 2021. Now, I barely engage with people on the platform and never join needless debates. Unless billionaire American influencers like Mark Cuban ping me…🤣💀#JoeRoganExperience#trainbydayjoeroganpodcastbynightallday by @rav.arora

New beginnings.
Rediscovering old parts within—
not lost, just waiting
to breathe in the right environment.

Life unfolds without our consent,
but our conscious will shapes its course.
Slow down and notice the patterns returning;
meet the shadow with curiosity, not fear.

Is this truth—
or just an old story replaying itself?

New essay published on my MDMA therapy session last year — a 6-hour voyage into the tyranny of obsessive goal-setting and hyper-ambition. It’s taken me a long time to unspool and understand it. Thanks to @jordan.b.peterson for the words of wisdom ahead and after the trip (more on that soon). I go into the psychedelic realm once every year or two years when I feel a bit stuck in life or the need to resolve something in my psyche.

As a very ambitious person, it’s hard to let go of goal-setting but the trip revealed how this internal narrative had become so suffocating and unbreathable.

At one point, it showed me an alternative: living more from peaceful presence and authentic desire than inner pressure and pursuit of validation.

Thanks to @carsonkivari and my therapist Xiva for facilitating this illuminating journey. This was one of the most profound experiences of my life — making the integration extremely difficult!

I’m still processing all of the rich, harrowing, powerful experiences I had from travelling to both Israel and Palestine. But some things don’t need to be filtered through political ideology to be appreciated.

This is simply raw, unpoliticized humanity.

These two kids were selling handmade bracelets in a Palestinian refugee slum in Bethlehem to help support their family. As we walked away, we heard their mother cheer with joy — because while the $40 we collectively gave felt small and almost insignificant to us, it translates to roughly a week’s worth of food for them.

These children, through no fault of their own, were born into profoundly difficult circumstances. They deserve our utmost empathy and compassion.

Too often, political discourse flattens real human suffering into abstract statistics. Moments like this are a reminder that beneath every conflict are human beings — and that we are all part of a shared humanity.

I’m not a tribal supporter of Israel or Palestine. I see strengths and weaknesses on both sides and want to see a peaceful solution in the future.

Both sides are welcome on my podcast — from @officialbenshapiro to @theproblemdavesmith (both who I’ve done podcasts with) — as I continue to process this issue. by @rav.arora

It’s easier for scientists to get cocaine than psilocybin.

Dr Matt Johnson (@drug_researcher) has run studies with cocaine, meth and psilocybin. With a DEA license, research cocaine is a simple order from a commercial vendor. Psilocybin, stuck in Schedule I, is “really, really hard” to get, even though labs already hold far more addictive drugs with a higher street value.

In US law, cocaine is medicine. Psilocybin isn’t.

Cocaine is in Schedule II because it has an accepted medical use: it’s still one of the best local anesthetics for throat surgery. Psilocybin sits in Schedule I next to heroin, even though Dr. Matt Johnson (@drug_researcher researcher) says its abuse potential is “middling” and it isn’t classically addictive. by @rav.arora

NEW: @rav.arora & @drug_researcher discuss @christianangermayer’s $2.8 BILLION+ deal selling his psychedelic company ATAI to Big Pharma company Eli Lilly.

Historically, Big Pharma & psychedelics were enemies. Now they’re shaking hands and doing business.

Matt & Rav also break down the therapeutic promise of ATAI’s key psychedelic drug (a 5-MeO-DMT variant), comparing its more ‘trans-psychic’ or mystical subjective effects compared to more psychotherapeutic effects of MDMA & psilocybin.

@jakekozloski: “You could DoorDash a wife” or husband 😂 in the future with A.I. dating apps like @keepermatchmaking that match you based on rigorous personality/values tests as opposed to endless swiping on Hinge just based on photos and vague prompts.

In that future, suddenly shooting in the dark at a bar, gym, sporting event etc seems really crude and inefficient if you can be matched with someone on super-effective AI dating app that’ll only match you with people of similar psychological profiles and values.

However: do we lose something very human if people in the future stop in-person approaching and predominantly date online? That’s already happening.

Could A.I. revolutionize dating—or take the romance out of it?

The terrible irony of dating apps: women do 10x better on them yet they are much less likely to be able to decide if they’re interested in a guy just based on raw photos. Many women are on the apps but never engage.

This is rooted in evolutionary biology. Men place higher priority on looks as signs of fertility and youthfulness while women prioritize a man’s resources, ambition, and resilience far more since women are more physically vulnerable and need someone to provide during childbirth.

These biological features precede conscious awareness so in modern times even if you’re not looking to have kids, these core differences in attraction still persist. They’re hardwired to an extent.

WILD: Popular dating app @hinge tried to buy new matchmaking site @keepermatchmaking.

But the acquisition fell apart after Hinge took issue with Keeper being openly pro-marriage, CEO @jakekozloski told me on my podcast.

“We didn’t set out to create another casual dating app”

Then came the ultimatum: write an apology letter for their beliefs and previous statements, and Hinge might reconsider the deal.

Keeper refused—even though the acquisition could have been seriously lucrative.

“We’d rather die than sacrifice the mission.”

@jakekozloski from new dating app @keepermatchmaking told me 1 in 10 first dates on his site lead to marriage. I asked him for the numbers.

Even more astounding: he says among the matches they predict are genuinely “good,” 1 in 4 have led to marriage.

He thinks finding your future spouse will eventually be automated.

Is A.I. the future of matchmaking?
