Introducing our third year illustration student @dearmacherie who is currently working on her FMP. Amazing work!

Context: These are all pieces for my FMP zine 'Dyslexia In Hong Kong 2' which is a continuation of my second-year zine with the same title.

(1/3) Title: 'Rushed.'
Have you ever been asked to hurry up with forms? 'Rushed.' is a piece based on a written excerpt written by a dyslexic student on their struggles with dyslexia outside a school environment.

(2/3) Title: 'New Words'
New Words' is about learning new words and speaking out loud in class as a dyslexic student- the anxiety and fear that comes from it. I wanted to depict the terror of being watched and the phonological struggles one can face as a dyslexic.

(3/3) Title: 'The Exam Room'
The exam room can be a daunting place all on its own, these feelings can be amplified when special ed students are separated from "regular students" especially when they are given "the big paper"...

Congratulations to @mireillefauchon and @rachelgannon_ on their book titled ‘Illustration Research Methods’ 🌟 Be sure to attend the book launch!
(Details below)

Congratulations to our MA Illustration for Communication Course Leader, @mireillefauchon, who has written a book titled ‘Illustration Research Methods’ with @rachelgannon_ 👏

For years illustration has lacked a strong critical history in which to frame it, with academics and media alike assessing it as part of design rather than a discipline in its own right. Illustration Research Methods addresses this void and adds to a fast-emerging discipline, establishing a lexicon that is specific to discussing contemporary illustration practice and research.

We’re celebrating the launch of the book with an event! 📚
Join us for an evening of readings, guest speakers and showcases of illustration in the here and now.

📅 Monday 25 January 2021
⏰ 18:30-19:30
🔗 Book your space via the link in our bio.
