#LatePost - A LADY OF IMPACT! I have been living life in all its ebbs and flows lately. But one thing I won’t flow over is how GOOD GOD IS! How AMAZING my village is. And recognizing what God has placed me on this earth to be and do…… ☀️☀️☀️ IMPACT is both a noun and a verb. Both meaning having “influence”. I mentioned a while back that I’m mostly a low key out the way, hard-working background person. Not wanting to BE IN the limelight. But what happens when your daily prayers of “being Love and Light to all I come in contact with” shines through the background? What happens when that LIGHT touches people to make them elevate brighter? What happens when… “Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” (Isaiah 60:3)?
One thing that I’ve learned this year is you can’t hide your LIGHT. Especially when it’s God’s light shinning through you. Don’t be afraid to shine your light. You never know the impact it’s quietly having on that young person, that older person, that stranger, that friend, that co-worker, that family member, that spouse/love, and your future self! Never dim your LIGHT!

Thank you again to @drramonahouston , @kalirahstrategies and @theladiesofimpact for seeing my light and honoring me. 🙏🏾🫶🏾 @kemibennings … words cannot express how HONORED I was not only just for the occasion, but YOUR WORDS had me in a love-hold! I am still in awe and keep pinching myself making sure I didn’t die and you did my eulogy 😂 Cause man oh man, your words were POWERFUL! Thank you to ALL my friends, family members, co-workers, church members and other honorees. I am NOTHING without you all. You all have had IMPACT on my life to make me who I am today. Congratulations to Ravi for her beautiful curation of creator Shoccara Marcus’s work at the Bloomingdale’s Art Gallery.
The photographic exhibition is extraordinary and the dancers live during the opening was the cherry on top. When you’re in the Lenox area, run to Bloomingdales and experience this work. You have until August 31st. It’s so inspiring!
Bravo to the National Black Arts Festival, AXAM Dance Theatre Experience and Bloomingdales for moving the CULTURE forward.

I’M BEING HONORED!!! That’s honestly weird for me to say and feel. I’m so used to being behind the scenes and low key with most of the things I’m doing or how I live. I like to serve and be a problem solver or curator of meaningful life moments/experiences. So when I got the call/email that I was being honored, I was DEEP IN MY FEELINGS. It was the good mirror I needed to see for myself. That the work I’ve been doing hasn’t just been one event to the other. It’s in fact being noticed and even IMPACTFUL 🙏🏾
