When the heavens opened in Amboli, Maharashtra

A beautiful view post rains at the beautiful Kavaleesad point. A must visit place if you’re ever visiting Amboli or even northern part of Goa. The multiple waterfalls that you can witness here are a treat and if the wind is strong enough, the water from the falls just sprays upwards.

Not exactly a strong composition. Shot this one on the way to Munnar from Kuttikanam. Mini falls like these are quite prevalent during the monsoon in Kerala. Sadly this year the rains have been less and this will be affecting the state a lot. The loss of natural vegetation cover is alarming in the state and the fragile piece of land won’t be able to sustain if no steps are implemented to curtail practices that kill the flora and fauna and ultimately people.

This beautiful view was shot from the top side of : Kerala Arts & Crafts Village

Munnar in beautiful misty layers.

I would have never thought this photograph would turn out to be beautiful because I purposely underexposed heavily to retain details in highlights. Thanks to Nikon’s (@nikonindiaofficial) amazing dynamic range, I was able to recover the shadows. Everything you see in the frame is purposely included to bring out exactly what I saw that beautiful winter morning.

A peaceful morning from Munnar during winter time. It was worth waking up to witness this beautiful sight of nature draped in mist and the sunlight oozing in slowly through the mist. This eventually meant that the mist was slowly disappearing from the water body (a reservoir on a river).

Monsoon Kerala - Would you like to join a monsoon Kerala landscape photography workshop?

A mini waterfall from Kuttikanam in Kerala. In the monsoon season, the hills are always wet and most of the time filled with a foggy ambiance. Plenty of waterfalls are also formed wherever there’s a gap for water to flow. The views & the ambience is just stunning.
