Journey to the crown jewel of Dharamshala nestled in the lap of the Dhauladhar ranges begins in McLeod Ganj, a bustling town known for its Tibetan culture and the residence of the Dalai Lama. From here, the trek to Triund is a tantalizing blend of steep ascents, winding trails, and scenic landscapes.
The first few kilometers are relatively gentle, giving you a false sense of security before the real challenge begins. As you climb higher, the trail becomes rockier and more rugged, demanding your full attention and stamina. But every step is worth it.
The real magic of Triund lies in its ability to surprise you.
One moment you’re navigating a dense forest of oak and deodar trees, and the next, you’re greeted by an expansive meadow that seems to touch the sky. The air is crisp, the skies are a clear blue, and the panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range are nothing short of spectacular.
